Candlewood Suites Williamsport by IHG

Arrived very late..no parking, trashy lot. Right to bed (after midnight after long drive). No blanket on bed. Freezing. Morning found: no shower curtain on rod, old coffee grounds and burnt coffee pot, outlet at kitchen counter not working, dirty, dirty, filthy window sill. Extremely limited 2 person place settings in dishwasher…nothing put away. Horrible stay…worse ever!!

I realize every business is struggling with staffing right now, and unfortunately I don't think housekeeping has the time to adequately clean rooms. There was a pubic hair in the shower. The kitchen floor was dirty. Dust everywhere. The hallways looked neglected. I should've saved my $ and stayed at the Econo Lodge if I was planning on slumming it. $230 was a total ripoff.

Was not up to standards I would expect from Candlewood Suites. Tub was very dirty: ring of dirt I could wipe off with heel, edge of tub had dirty shoe prints. Asked for cleaning at front desk and was told they prob wouldn't have time to clean our tub. Floors in bath and kitchen very slippery/greasy feeling, towel dropped on floor had dirt smudges on it. I paid $275 for a 2 night stay; I've stayed in nicer budget hotels for much less. Worn, dirty furniture. Room was advertised as a queen bed but definitely felt like a full bed given that there was barely room for both of us in bed; desk clerk insisted all beds were either queen or king. The Problem Handling document I saw upon checkout was not followed at all. My concerns were basically dismissed. A waste of money.

Our room felt very dirty. There was mold in the toilet, the dishes hadn't been cleaned. The air conditioner was terrible and the coffee maker did not work. Fixed soap dispenser in shower was damaged so there was not any soap either. The only plus was the receptionist when we called to verify our reservation. She was very nice.

They offered free laundry but some of the dryers were broken for our entire stay (8 days). We had to wash our own towels if we wanted clean ones. Our room was never serviced. The hotel ran out of supplies and did not replenish them, stating they didn’t know when they would be. It took days to get repairs done in the room, leaving me with a bathroom without light. I had to use my phone’s Flashlight. My stay was very disappointing considering the price.

Property, units and furnishings dated and not well maintained.

There was not alot to like, but we did appreciate that the single individual who was manning the desk was doing the best he could under the circumstances.

Suite was awesome. Disappointed about pool closure.

The area around the property is in poor condition, garbages overflowing and grill area was not in good shape.
