Candlewood Suites Killeen - Fort Hood Area by IHG

My room smelled of cat urine and the carpet was sticky to bare feet. The hallways also had a bad odor. The staff was friendly but this place needs some cleaning and disinfecting.

We were hopeful this hotel would meet our needs, wish we had slept in the car for 6 days. First Room: Ants Broken Bed/Furniture Was not clean/unsanitary Second Room: Less ants Decent Furniture Was not clean-floor dirty, nail trimmings on table and carpet Towels always unavailable, 12 hrs without Sheets had blood spots Key cards rarely worked and had to be reprogrammed sometimes 2-3x a day Staff was friendly and attempted to be accommodating. They were too laid back and discussed their plans to find other jobs, had visitors and talked on their personal phones quite a bit. When we needed to extend our stay a day due to my husbands work taking longer than expected they at first said it was no problem, then told me the next day they couldn't extend our stay because I booked with Expedia. I had to spend a lot of time calling Expedia from the hotel room and wait on hold while Expedia called the hotel supervisor at the front desk to approve our staying an extra night. A lot of effort for one extra night, we were willing to change rooms even. That finally worked out. While I felt we took many of these issues in our stride most people would have expected more than we did. There were many unsavory individuals pacing back and forth in front of the hotel at all hours of the day and night. Overall the rooms felt unsanitary and we could not wait to get home. It was a very disappointing experience, the kind that makes one not wish to leave home again.

OMG what can I say about the staff. Kayla the night staff called me by my name upon entering the hotel Friday night. It just blew me away. The room was clean and cool. Parking lot was clean and also the inside of the hotel. I will definitely referral CandleWood in Killeen to family abd friends. THANKS guys keep up the good work.

Everything was good, staff were wonderful, only issues were that where the clock is, there was s no outlet, so why have a clock, and not plugged in, and my room particular, but not in general the air conditioner was not cooling enough, but it wasn't hot in room by any means. Place was clean, and quiet.

I was amaze of how courteous of the staff was...laundry was free and all I need to cook with was already their.

It was so bad I left and found another hotel. Room was dirty, stained furniture, door cards didn't work, carpet sticky. Just not up to Candlewood standards. Would rate it less than zero if possible.

Room was spacious. However, upon calling ahead, I was informed that my "request" of two beds was not available, even though that is what I had reserved and pre-paid. Had it not been for my non-refundable resevation, I would have found a different hotel.

Room was very clean hotel was clean .staff was great and hotel has a mini store and great location

Front desk was friendly and helpful when I called about my late check-in. Again upon my check-out were friendly and expeditious.

Wasn't in room that much. It everything was clean.
