"Needs an update"

The hotel was clean, but badly in need of an update. There is a brand new competitor hotel across the driveway and I would've stayed there if I knew the condition of this hotel.

Re: room 203: the light at the entry to the room was out; the heat was not working; there may have been bedbugs in the mattress - what looked like insect bites appeared on the adult who slept in the king bed; there was an extremely stained bath towel folded in the rack in the bathroom (?dried blood, or beverage, or chemicals); & the breakfast employees were not friendly.

When traveling during these pandemic times, always stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites as their cleanliness is top notch!!! This chain is great Value for money and always located close to the highway- important on a road trip. Recent stop at Allentown, PA location-staff were all masked and very efficient and friendly.....not so the next night at our stop in Wyethville, Va. Didnt feel very safe as not one staff member was masked.Beds were way too soft- terrible nights sleep. One very favorable aspect of this location- great night light in bathroom ( mystifies me why all hotel rooms dont offer this feature

The only problem was my key card. It wasn’t working on the door from outside or my room. The gal at the desk tried to fix it . Didn’t work. So a housekeeper helped me.

"Basic, Clean & overpriced for amenities "

The hotel was very mediocre. The breakfast was bland even though they had a lot of variety. The rooms were clean but dated and for the price per night I feel it should have been much nicer. it was quiet and seemed safe the front desk attendant was very nice and accommodating. If I were staying in the area again I would look elsewhere.
