Lamplighter Inn and Suites - North

This was absolutely the FILTHIEST ROOM and hotel I have ever stayed at. When checking in found out it is condemned and being torn down Sept. 1 2025. Do not go there.

This motel was obviously not vetted. The place looked like it was abandoned and about to be torn down, trash everywhere. There were men all around the building using drugs openly. They were dirty and looked homeless. This place looked like a crack house you see in movies. The few cars in the lot looked vandalized and abandoned. The men were openly using drugs, they looked very threatening. There was no lighting around the building or parking lot. I've used your service for our cross-country trip and have had positive experiences up until this encounter in Springfield, MO. My husband and I felt very unsafe and vulnerable. We are seniors (75 & 76) and trust companies such as yours to provide safe and trusted accommodations. We chose to leave due to this threatening situation and stayed elsewhere. The lady at check-in acknowledged our reluctance and said that if you contact this disgusting (my words) facility, she will issue a credit asap. I realize that my booking was a nonrefundable booking, but due to these threatening and unsafe conditions that YOU neglected to tell us about, I expect a full refund. Upon leaving, I researched the crime rate in this area, and it is appallingly high! How can you send people there!! If you fail to refund our money, I will never use your services again and will tell every know to avoid you as well. This review will appear on your social media page if you don't make this right.

The room is good, reasonable price, but the hallway needs to be improved (very old carpet)

The room was clean and well kept. I chose it for the economy; I do not like paying for a corporate name (Hilton, etc) where the prices are nearly double. If you want an economical lodging it's not bad. Don't expect breakfast or an indoor pool (they shut it down for economic reasons).

Clearly the reviews I saw were not from the same location. The hotel looked abandoned, have of it was boarded up and everything other than the rooms was closed up and empty. Pool closed, no breakfast. Homeless and crack heads everywhere.. scared to walk to my room down dark dirty hallway, once in, was no better. Stains on furniture, not from food, bathroom door wouldn't even close and flys everywhere.. did not feel safe at all.. turned around and left... Later found out syrup club was next door...

We got there at 2 pm. They accommodated us for check in.

I paid for a room with two queens and got one with two fulls. They no longer serve breakfast, nor is the pool open. It does not state this on the website.

They didn't have breakfast, the pool was closed, the toilet barely flushed, tub barely drained.

I DID NOT STAY HERE, AND NO ONE AT THE LOCATION OR ON THIS WEBSITE WILL REFUND MY MONEY. THIS WAS THE MOST SCARY AND DISCUSTING HOTEL I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK ASAP AS I STAYED 2 DOORS DOWN AT THE HOLIDAY INN!!
