Hidden Valley Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

We stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 2025. It was horrible. First there was water on the floor, the fridge had leaked. It was also freezing. Concierge came and offered to change rooms. We did. The next room was freezing and was not warming up. We crawled under the covers. The heater was working, but not enough heat to warm up the room. The concierge did offer to change rooms again but we settled on extra blankets as im sure all rooms are cold. If thats not bad enough, the shower water was hot and then cold as I was full of soap and shampoo Same thing the next day. We asked to speak with manager but not in. Hmmmm my daughter sent an email, no reply. I've left 2 messages and no reply. I will never stay there again. Id much rather pay extra and stay at Deerhurst BTW. The room finally warmed up by pur 2nd night but floor was still cold.

When we arrived, the pool, hot tub and sauna were out of commission, bar restaurant were closed(we arrived at 7pm) and no staff working. The place is under renovations and no noticevehen I booked(same day as arrival)

We came here for a work holiday party. The view from our room was gorgeous, the buffet food was excellent and the party overall was great. The DJ they hired did an excellent job. Only downsides were they charged more than $11 for one can of hard cider, and the rooms/hotel are a bit dated. Overall, a very pretty area, a memorable meal, and a fun time.

Pretty much nothing this time

Room view was bad, no elevators so moving luggage was a pain, canoes were closed as they were closed in our previous 2 visits, no microwave in rooms

There were young adults breaking into rooms and stealing, the staff didn't seem to care at all, none of the exterior doors locked, and people had to be moved to rooms where the patio door locked. We had to call the police and when they arrived they were not surprised and acted like this was a normal occurance. This wasted an entire evening of our stay. The entire facility is very dated, the room and walk paper peeling, and the paint on the door looked like it was done by a 2 year old. There does not seem to be any desire to maintain the facility. It took 3 hours to get dinner on saturday night at the restaurant. On Check out day there was no hot water, which ended the stay on a bad note.

I loved exploring the trails, taking in the breathtaking views, and unwinding at the spa, hot tub and sauna! The staff were top-notch, always ready to help and ensure I had an unforgettable stay. Can't wait to come back and experience it all again!
