Majestic Beach Resort by Resort Collection

Four friends taking a 3 night adventure to the beach. Upon arrival our room appeared to be clean and comfortable. We had driven 8 hours and were tired yet excited. The first day we discovered a few dirty dishes. No problem, no one is perfect. The next morning we found that two chairs, on the balcony, couldn't be used. One had metal legs that were rusted & crumbling and the weaving on a lounge chair was missing. The dehumidifier had black mold. The hot water heater and AC closet was filthy. Paint was pealing off the bathroom door. There were two holes in the walls. We sent pictures to management and were not offered a different room, or a partial refund. We will never book a room through RealJoy again. Our accommodations were substandard.

Stayed in room 914. Definitely not the best place we have ever stayed. Love the layout and amount of livable space. Worked well for the 4 of us. Location and view were perfect! And the balcony was huge! Big enough for all of us to be outside at the same time. This property is huge. Too big for our tastes, but the room looked like it hasn’t had a good clean in years. We had no bath towels, no sheets for the pull out couch, and out of the 4 pillows, one of which had drool stains and only one 1 pillow had a pillow case. Leftover fries in the oven drawer, dirty dishes masquerading as clean in the cabinets and the dryer lint trap hasn’t been cleaned in about 6 loads or more. Tv remotes were sticky even after cleaning them ourselves, as well as the refrigerator and oven handles. The couch was sticky and gross feeling. One cushion was SUPER dirty. Our feet were black after walking barefooted in the room for one evening. Room needs to be updated. And really needs a good deep cleaning. I am not really sure why I had to pay a cleaning fee since it clearly hasn’t been cleaned in ages.

We learned our lesson on staying in a high rise building.we were on the 20th of 23 floors.Been to hotels like this with no problem.We had a studio.Air went in and out first nite.2 days later it went completly out.management co sent a guy over.it quit working 5 minutes after he left.then they sent a 3rd party repairman.he did several things and got us up and running .he said it needs replaced.Thank goodness we travel with big fans.so the elevator situation is a nighmare and no ac in them either.U have to park in a garage across the street which is another elevator trip to the walkway and back.40.00 parking for the week which we werent told about in the beginning. The management vo is giving us a credit since we had to cancel plans and wait til 3pm for ac to be fixed.staff is very nice and our studio was perfect for us.just bring extra tp and bath towels.

Great family resort, very clean and well kept. Several options for pools/hot tubs for the days the beaches were closed due to double red flags. Could easily walk straight from the resort to the beach. Parking was great and easy to get in/out.

Do not stay here! It should be closed. Many health code violations.

Bedroom furniture and tv needs to be upgraded. Jettube needs to be cleaned upgeaded looks dirty.

The condo was clean, nice, and spacious. However, we did not get access to the fitness area. The walk from the parking garage to the room was a lot and the property was too crowded for my tastes.

We did not get our wrist bands to be on property until our second day, after various requests. We never got the card for the gym. We found pillows in our room with blood on them. We only had one think sheet to cover ourselves on beds. Then we would come back after being gone from our room to find the door open and things moved around. Would not recommend.

The beach was crowded but very nice and easy access. What I did not like was the constant smell of cigarette smoke while on the balcony and on the beach. It slept 8 but was only given complete bedding for 3. The road noise in the front bedroom was loud enough to keep that guest awake until past midnight. Because of these things, I would return to Panama City Beach but not to this resort.

If there was a “zero star” option, I would have chosen it. 1.The elevators take forever. I was stuck for 10 minutes in one and when I called for help no one answered!! The call went to a foreign country 2. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! You can’t reach anyone if you need anything, except security!! 3. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION…no one knows what anyone related to the resort is doing or who should be doing what or who can answer questions, and any everything in between, regarding communication with customers as well as staff/owners!! 4. Logistics/layout is not convenient!! You have to walk a mile anywhere you go…beach, pool, parking garage, tower to tower, etc… 5. Emotional support animals were not accepted or honored, which was not communicated (refer to #3) 6. The loading/unloading policy is inconvenient and makes zero sense. You have to leave your driver’s license just to even use a cart. 7. My elderly and disabled 78 year old mother was not treated with any respect and was discriminated against by them not adhering to the Americans with Disabilities Act. You have to give respect to get it and my mother has more than earned it!! 8. My 15 year old white son and his Indian friend were accused of throwing a water bottle from our balcony, on the 17th floor, which was an insult. They were not even on the balcony at said time of occurrence and my 78 year old mother was there (the whole time) and she most certainly did not nor would she allow it to be done!! This is racial discrimination and my kids were targeted!! The only proof that it came from our balcony is a picture of a water bottle and the fact that a security guard looked at the building and counted up to where he thought our balcony to be and assumed the bottle came from!! They could not even provide proof, other than the picture of an empty water bottle on the ground…We were evicted because of this and given 30 minutes to vacate the property, which is completely unrealistic expectations!!! We were treated like criminals and I could not even reach anyone to discuss the issue (refer to #3) Really???!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PUT MYSELF OR MY FAMILY IN SITUATIONS/CONDITIONS SUCH AS THIS WITHOUT CHECKING EACH OF THESE POINTS BEFOREHAND!!!!!
