Food was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

The staff here are exceptional. Can't do enough for you and every detail taken care of. The food is always high standard, breakfast and dinner alike.

If there's anything to moan about it would only be the music piped in over dinner. There's no need for it,, the ambience is fine without it', and it's intrusive.

The location was superb for our needs

Unfortunately, due to the hot weather, no air-conditioning in the bedrooms, so it made it very uncomfortable night of sleep or lack of

The staff were all lovely, including the receptionist who telephoned with instructions on how to reach the Inn during diversions caused by roadworks. The Sunday roast was beautifully cooked and so generous we couldn’t do justice to breakfast the next day.

Quite a remote location, not helped by diversions caused by the roadworks in the centre of the village. We chose a “cosy” room but will definitely upgrade next time.

Maybe I’m a little biased as my uncle owned this pub in the 60s / 70s and I have fond memories of our visits, but I absolutely adored every minute of our stay - from the warm welcome and attentive service from every single member of staff, to the charming comfortable bedrooms and communal areas, to the exquisite food we had at dinner and the perfect poached egg with hollandaise sauce at breakfast…

Nothing whatsoever. Well maybe the roadworks in front of the pub spoilt the view, but that’s nobody’s fault.
