Perroquet Hotel

The location is great. Across the street from the beach. 5 min walk to restaurants and nightlife. Hotel is nice and quiet with a serene environment.

When we first walked into the room, there was a large roach on the floor. However, I understand that this is Florida and the hotel has a lot of greenery around it. Other than that occurrence everything was fine! Would stay here again!

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! It’s just a short walk from the beach, which is a huge plus. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. Overall, it had a welcoming vibe and definitely felt like the perfect getaway for a few days!

According to the listing, the pictures and the property were very nice, very clean. So I made a booking.

Right after I made the booking, I called them to confirm and they told me that the room that I was trying to book had already been booked and my payment didn't go through. I looked at my bank account and the money was no longer there. I told them that and they told me that I would have to talk to booking because there was nothing they could do on there end. I ended up not staying there, I called booking and canceled the reservation because they could not accommodate me.

It was beautiful. The furniture was very modern-but not very comfortable. Lush towels. They were nice enough to upgrade up to a “junior suite” because it was our anniversary; however, it had neither the king size bed nor the walk in shower we requested.

The bathtub was very very slippery. My husband had to hold me when I got in to keep me from slipping and I was terrified the whole time I was in the shower-afraid I might fall. My husband-who is as sure-footed as a goat, actually slipped and fell in the shower. Thank goodness he was not injured. We were awakened about 2:40 when it sounded like bb’s hitting the a/c. My husband tried to figure out what it was, even turning the a/c off-still bb’s. To make it even worse, the ceiling fan in the bedroom would not work without the light on. We finally figured out that it was water dripping on the outside casing of the a/c so we put a towel out there and it dulled the sound. Another problem that needs addressing is the curtain situation in the bedroom. The curtains hang over the a/c and block the airflow. If you pull the curtains back past the a/c-the whole world can see into the bedroom. A simple fix would be to cut the curtains shorter above the a/c.

The location was good.

The window in the shower, which looks out on the public walkway, is covered by a full window sticker for privacy. However, I noticed once I was outside the room, that the bottom of the window covering is scratched off, thereby allowing anyone walking by to peep through the window directly into the shower! I wish I'd noticed that before showering! Also, the bed was very low and could be difficult for some to get in and out of. The A/C was impossible to control and blew directly on the bed at night. I eventually had to unplug it to shut it off.
