L a mia fortuna è stata di aver noleggiato un auto, ma per trovare una spiaggia accessibile bisognava fare circa km.50 e prendere ombrelloni e sdrai a pagamento. Our 2-week stay at Bahia Principe Grand La Romana was a major disappointment and did not meet the expectations of a resort of this level. Throughout our vacation, we experienced constant technical problems and a very poor level of service. The room keys regularly stopped working, which meant we had to visit the front desk almost every day. The bathroom faucet was leaking, there was no hot water at all, the air conditioner constantly malfunctioned, and the electricity periodically shut off and came back on. We were traveling with two children, and because of the heat and the broken air conditioning, the children could not sleep properly in the evenings. One evening, my daughter called reception because the air conditioner in our room was not working. Unfortunately, the message was never properly passed on, and no assistance arrived for more than an hour. During that time, the room became extremely hot, and my young grandson was crying because he could not fall asleep. As a family traveling with children, this situation was very upsetting and should have been handled much more professionally. Only on the last day, around 12:30 a.m., were we offered another room. However, that room also initially had problems with the air conditioner. Staff came several times to repair it, and although the issue eventually seemed to be resolved, by that point our vacation had already been seriously affected. I would also like to mention the front desk service. Instead of receiving real assistance, we were often met with indifference and contradictory information. Our interactions with Ada at the reception desk were especially disappointing and unhelpful. Even on the day of departure, the service remained extremely unprofessional. The evening before our flight, I requested luggage assistance for 5:10 a.m. because we needed to leave for the airport early in the morning. Nobody arrived. When I went back to the reception desk, I was told that staff had supposedly already come, which was simply not true. In the end, we had to carry all of our luggage ourselves. The biggest disappointment was the beach and the ocean. There really were jellyfish, but even without them, I still would not recommend this hotel for a beach vacation. The water itself was unpleasant for swimming and looked nothing like the photos and promotional materials shown by the hotel. During our stay, we noticed that most guests preferred spending their time at the pools rather than in the ocean, and now we completely understand why. After we mentioned that we intended to leave a review, sweets and a small bottle of rum were brought to our room on the last day. Unfortunately, this did not change our overall impression or compensate for the many problems we experienced during the two weeks. Honestly, it is better to choose a shorter vacation in a place with truly beautiful water, good service, and comfortable accommodations. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Excelent friendly atmosphere, from personel, big rooms, tidy, and confortable, exquisite gardens , and pools. The water at the beach isn’t blue because of Th Soco river close to the hotel. But calm, very warm water and no sargasus at all. The could improve the sound regarding the shows. Food are all rigth, no lines to wait at restaurantes.

I loved this place so much i'd go back in heart beat!!! Altough the sea is not as clear as it should because a river flows into it, we decided to get roasted on the beach and get into la piscina when we were too hot! The service was the best thing of it all! Our servers Yeuddi and Adolpho would be greating us every morning with a big smile and lovely service! Our bartenders Marie at the coco bar and Darwin at the bar next to the pool were always so cheerfull and happy to see us. And what can I say about the entertainment crew 😍 special shoutout to the 2 Luis’s who made us dance and laugh so hard and the beautiful Genna with her energy! Incredible place honestly !!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic holiday. We read the reviews before we went but had an open view. We found the rooms were great spacious and cleaned daily. The staff were great they were always on hand to do anything for you and very friendly. The sea was brown some days because of the river but usually after heavy rain other days it was ok, there was also flags put up on the beach to say if it was safe to go in the sea or if there was marine life present so you know not to go in. You can go a bit further up the beach and it is better. The food was great we enjoyed the great choice plenty of different choices daily also the al a carte restaurants. Evening entertainment was brilliant the circus show brilliant. We will definitely be back we had such a great time.

We come to this hotel for my 50th birthday it was so chilled we are looking to book again what made it even more exceptional was customer Service who bent over backwards for us would check on us most day. The one who stands out was ANYALS he made everything we ask for happen ANYALS you are a credit to this company you are amazing

Unmöglich: 4 Wochen vor dem Aufenthalt erhalte ich eine Aufforderung den Gesamtreisepreis zu zahlen mit der Drohung, dass die Buchung storniert wird, wenn nicht binnen 5 Stunden bezahlt wird. Die Mail hatte FAKE Charakter, was mir der booking com Service bestätigte. ( siehe meine Mails an booking com )

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Explore La Romana and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The food was a highlight — the buffet offered a wide variety at every meal, with new options each night. The desserts, in particular, were absolutely stunning and delicious. The pool area was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with very comfortable lounge chairs available throughout the day. The beach had beautiful sand and truly outstanding sunsets. The only downside was that the water tended to be a bit cloudy. The rooms were clean and spacious, though somewhat plain in terms of decor. The beauty to be seen was outdoors : a well-maintained property with great landscaping and gorgeous views. The entertainment (animation team) brought great energy to the resort. There were different shows every night, and while the daily schedule was somewhat similar, there were always a few new activities added. The team’s enthusiasm really stood out. The staff made a strong positive impression. From the lobby to the bars to the dining room, most were very friendly, attentive, and polite. Many spoke at least some English, and there were always smiling faces ready to help. I would especially like to recognize a few individuals who made the experience even better: - Ronny (dining room server): poised, cordial, and prompt - Yeudy (server): personable and efficient - Oscar (dining room): lively, dedicated, and friendly - Antonio (animation team): sociable, dynamic, and incredibly energetic on stage - Dawlin (bartender at Flamboyant Bar): always smiling and tireless - Vladimir (lobby reception): kind and very helpful A shoutout to Johnny from Air Canada who was available every morning at the resort to answer questions and provide information. Overall, this resort offers a well-rounded experience with excellent service, great food, and a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend it to travellers looking for a fun and rejuvenating getaway.

I had an amazing experience at this resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made me feel taken care of. The activities were fun, well-organized, and there was always something to do. Honestly, I didn’t even want to leave—that’s how much I enjoyed my stay. This is definitely a place everyone should experience at least one time!!! IM COMING BACK
