The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa, Avon, Vail Valley

We've been coming to this property since it opened, and we really like it here. We try to come once a year. The outdoor pool and hot tubs have such beautiful views and are really nice to swim and relax in. The hotel has a modern and relaxed vibe, and overall it's quite clean. The lobby is one we make a point to hang out it because it has fireplaces, great views, a nice cocktail lounge and lots of seating, as well as board games to check out at the front desk. I like that the front desk checks in with you via text throughout your stay. This system has been really good to address any concerns easily. The only real issues we have had, and why I don't give the hotel five stars, is the cleanliness of the rooms have not been as good as they have been in the past. The rooms used to be immaculate, but the last few times there were some issues. Also, the service in the lounge bar wasn't as good as it could have been with a slow server and cocktails that weren't quite right. Finally, the new market just opened a month ago and they have some kinks to work out still. It's extremely expensive and the coffee drinks were poorly made (tasted bad), smoothie ingredients forgotten (got a pbj smoothie with no fruit in it so it just tasted like frozen peanut butter), and a "nitro" cold brew coffee that just kind of fizzled into cold coffee after a few seconds and was $7 for a small. So really poor value there. Other than that, we'll keep coming back because it is almost always a great time.

Amazing pool and Mountain Views!

Came to Vail for hip surgery at the world renowned Steadman Clinic and stayed 2 nights nearby at the beautiful Westin in Avon. What a marvelous experience! They had so many thoughtful accommodations for guests recovering from surgery. The “heavenly” bedding and towels felt so luxurious! And the restaurant and bar offered delicious healthy food just an elevator ride away (or delivered to the room.) We would have stayed longer but had friends nearby to visit. Highly recommend this destination for the very finest in personal pampering.

View, pool, bars

Prices, broke down elevator, thought the spa would have been a little more bang for your buck

Fantastic stay here over Memorial Day weekend. The lady from Peru at check-in was super friendly and we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite on account of booking with Amex FHR and being a Platinum member. The hotel has been very well renovated and felt very premium. The one bedroom suite was simply pristine and a true highlight of the stay. Breakfast staff everyday were very personable and a joy to interact with, the food itself was also great. Pool was a bit busy but there were times it quieted down so it could be enjoyed more peacefully. The fitness center here is one of the best I've ever seen in a hotel. Also the spa was fantastic and a real oasis to relax in before and after your treatment, treatments themselves were a little pricy but well worth it! Minor negatives are: one of the elevators was down so it led to long waits, F&B was a little pricey even for a resort, I'm not really sure what I received with the daily amenity/destination fee, and there were no EV charging options for those self-parking. Not huge issues per se but still minor ones to make it not quite "perfect".

We had a great ski trip. The resort was amazing. We can’t wait to return next winter.
