Smugglers Cove Beach Resort and Hotel

Overall it was enjoyable..the view of the beach was nice especially when the sun was setting. The bar staff wasn’t too helpful and made me wait a long time before being served. No eye contact to see if I needed anything.

The pictures from the property were cropped. Our hotel room had an inch of dust under the bed, the window had an alleyview above the kitchen that smelled like grease. We had green mold on the windows and haze. I thought this was a resort, it was for backpackers and a stop over, but with high prices. We could have stayed at the Crown Plaza for just a bit more money and had a clean and holiday experience. We did not see a spa, the pool is right off the walk out resturant and small and cold. The beach wasn't swimmable. We made the best of it, but others on different tourist places couldn't believe what we paid for... the prices should be half. The people working at the desk are wonderful and friendly and that is why we stayed and didn't complain. One day we came home and our room was unlocked. Nothing was missing. Also, they should have signs up to remind tourists not to drink the water. It is also not all inclusive, breakfast is not included.

We had a fantastic stay at Smugglers Beach Resort! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The resort has a laid-back island vibe with beautiful beachfront views and plenty of space to relax and unwind. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved being able to walk straight onto the beach and watch the sunset each evening. The on-site restaurant offered tasty meals, and the breakfast was good. The last day we didn't get to have breakfast because the Chef did not turn up to work, it would have been nice to have been advised so we can go eat breakfast at another hotel nearby. Overall a great stay.

Great view from the balcony of the sunset suite. Good pricepoint for 6 person apartment. No elevator/lift so walked up and down 2 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Found a cockroach a day. Music from bar always died down by 10pm. Pots all overused. Sharp knives broken at tips. Comfy beds. Great air conditioning. Usefull pool. Good firedancing. Service for meals slow and dissjointed but food tasty for pricepoint.

Ok, so at first I was hesitant if this place would be ok. We got it at 9pm so booked in and straight to our room. Only 3 tv stations and poor internet. Yes, picky, I know. But each day we feel more in love, you're hardly in your room. Great spot on the beach, great food, great bar and pool, and brilliant staff. Handy location. Yes it's a mixed rooms and back packers spot but this gives it a great fun vibe.

It was a a beautiful property. Right on the beach. Furniture is very old and lobby washroom was just the one. Very tiny Definitely needs some upgrades. Otherwise restaurant etc was decent Some of the check in staff was rude (one for sure) and seemed disinterested. Rest were nice.

Loved the location, 5/5 for the beach views and the lovely staff.

For the price I was not that impressed. Location is good and staff at the bar were very nice and friendly. Rooms and hotel condition is older. As far as being environmental friendly, I wish they’d filter water and use glasses so as to prevent excess plastic.

Very noisy especially the room I was in. It’s also a rip off after you book your room. Beware there is no refund of your money for cancellation. Most places charge you a cancellation fee, but not this place they keep the lot. I will never return and I will tell everyone I know about my time there.
