Blue Bay Curaçao Golf & Beach Resort

This was our third time to stay in the Blue Bay Resort area and we rented an apartment in The Reef apartment complex. Blue Bay beach is beautiful and usually very busy during this time of year. We love that they have entertainment on the beach several nights during the week. We did notice this time that there is a lot of construction going on and sometimes the wait to get through the security gate can be quiet long.

General Comments. Too much construction everywhere! The only resort I have ever been to where a vehicle is required. Much disrepair and filth everywhere. The public washrooms at the beach however were clean and well maintained. Restaurants Bayside - Located in Hotel area. Great service and food quality was good. Reasonably priced. Limited menu. Lemongrass - Located at golf course. Extremely poor service, meh food. Waitress asked for a tip after making us wait for 30 minutes for a menu and drinks. Brass Boer - Located on the beach. Poor service with the exception of one waitress who was very attentive. Limited menu. Food quality meh. They were bragging about this deconstructed apple pie that earned them a Michelin Star. Should have known. This amounted to a tablespoon of ice cream, a teaspoon of crust crumb, a teaspoon of filling, a vanilla bean! Could have fit the entire dessert on a big soup spoon. don't quote me.... but I recall it cost $30USD for that! Had a shared Rib Eye steak plate for $110USD. It was supposed to be 16oz, but more like 12. It was alright. Very limited menu. Ate there twice, ordered it twice as there wasn't anything on the menu that appealed. Our friends had the chicken. The serving was the equivalent of a chicken finger. Coast - Good service, reasonably priced and food quality was good. Blend - Located on the beach. Snacks and drinks mainly. Tuna fish melt was the standout meal I had there. Golf We played 3 rounds. A lot of construction noise and work crews on the course which was disappointing considering the green fee. The golf pro/manager was very helpful, very professional and all round great guy! The women working in the pro shop and front desk for the hotel were also very helpful and friendly. The shape of the course was alright. We have played nicer Caribbean golf courses. Could have been much better. Some holes were nicer than others. No consistency in the traps. Could be a really nice standout track. The signature hole would have been beautiful if not for the sound of cement saws right next to it. Beach It was a nice beach. Small, but nice. Limited shade if you arrived late. Plenty of chairs. People would show up early, mark their chair and not show up until much later. Snorkeling was good. Plenty to see and water conditions were good. While it is beyond the control of Blue Bay many of the travelers there were annoying and as it can become very busy it wasn't peaceful by any stretch. I just don't get people that think that when they talk, they think the whole surrounding area needs to hear them. Accommodations We were not necessarily on the resort despite having access. We stayed in the Ridge Villas renting a 2 bedroom villa with private pool. Nice villa, however the penthouse units can look directly on you while in the pool and patio area. No privacy! And the walk to the beach involved a very steep could be treacherous stairway that had 100 steps. We counted them. Plus the view from the villa was tainted by what one could describe as a material dump. Wish they showed pictures of that on the airbnb ads. Big trucks dumped huge rocks while we were there for several days. The noise so loud we had to stop talking. The walk to the beach was dangerous at night with a lot of trip hazards. It was a smelly pathway that had you pass a big transfer pump, washroom run off and the back of the Boer. It wasn't a nice walk. Final word....... While we had a good time, we would not return. All things considered for the cost and amenities we feel we could have done much better elsewhere.

Ficamos no apartamento 21, segundo andar. O apartamento é bem amplo e confortável. Estávamos em 4, eu e minha esposa e nossos dois filhos. Os quartos eram bons e tinham ar condicionado. Os banheiros também eram ótimos. A cozinha era bem equipada, tomávamos café da manhã e às vezes jantávamos no apartamento. As toalhas eram trocadas todo o dia. A estrutura do complexo é muito boa, a praia é muito bonita e com estrutura para passar o dia.

NO ME SOLUCIONARON EL PROBLEMA QUE TUVE, NO VINO NADIE A SOLUCIONAR HASTA QUE HABLE CON BOOKNG, PERO LUEGO NO ME CAMBIARON DE HABITACION

I played the front nine on a shore excursion from a cruise. It was a great experience in every way. The course is beautiful, particularly the holes with ocean views. Highly recommend.
