"Great stay in the off season"

10.0

Enoyed a wonderful last minute getaway to Bear Hollow and the Park City area. Added on another night within 10 minutes of arriving at our condo. Very homey feeling with all the amenities included. The full kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, crock pot, blender, toaster, coffee maker etc) allowed us to make cooking super simple with a quick trip to the grocery store. Super stoked about that. 2 full baths, room enough for 7-8 to sleep comfortably, a gas fireplace, washer/dryer and covered underground parking, with your own personal spot, were just a few of the perks included. Space is tight in the underground parking, so if you drive a bigger SUV (we drive an Armada) you may have to find parking on the street. Their is plenty of it though. All of our planned activities were local (Park City/Heber/Midway) and within a 25 minute drive. With the freeway being so close it wasn't hard to get around. Salt Lake is an easy 30 min drive too. Very very pleased with or stay and will be back next year for sure.

"Nightmare check in"

8.0

No one tells you there is no on site check in !!! So having travelled 400 miles there is no one there to check you in or tell you how to find your accommodation . Having walked around for 20 mins found a small note in the window of the sports room saying don't disparity we have moved the checkin ! It then directs you to an office a couple of miles away. That's not good enough and that's a shame as everything else was great

"Great place to stay for family ski vacation"

10.0

We were really pleased with our stay at Bear Hollow Village. We stayed in a three bedroom unit with the garage, and it worked very well for our ski vacation. Having the space for all of us to spread out is something we always look for when we travel, and the condition of our condo was very, very nice. The washer / dryer was great for wet ski clothes and swimsuits when we came back from the hot tub, and parking in the garage was convenient during the white out snow storm that hit our second day. I can't say the kitchen was over-stocked with supplies, but it was sufficient for us to eat breakfast there each day and relax at night with a bowl of icecream. :-) We didn't have any issue finding the place to check in (1794 Olympic Parkway, Suite 150 ; (435) 655-0366) because I read the reviews, and generally we found the service to be very good. Also, I found the distance to the various ski resorts to be acceptable - about an eight minute drive to the Canyons or 15 to Park City Mountain Resort, where we skied. We also appreciated the shopping center that's right down the street for groceries, medicine and clothing when one of our suitcases was lost for a day - the Chinese restaurant there was excellent, too. Overall, we were very pleased and would absolutely stay there again.

"Comfortable place at an affordable price"

8.0

My friends and I stayed at Bear Hollow for a ski vacation. We had all the comforts of home while we were there, and were overall very happy. We also enjoyed using the hot tub at the club house. My only complaints were that the carpets were stained and we had trouble with the thermostat. The temps in the condo were very warm and we could not seem to change the temp controls. We should have called to see if someone could come out and check on the thermostat, but we just ended up dealing with it instead. The location of the condo is very close to the Redstone shopping area and to Olympic Park. Park city and Deer Valley were a short cab/bus ride away. This was a great place to stay for a family or group of friends on a budget. I would stay there again.

"nice place"

8.0

This was a nice place, near Kimball Junction. My issue was getting check-in info from Hotels.com since it's off-site, and we struggled with the satellite TV's, turned out all the remotes needed new batteries.

"Excellent"

8.0

Condo was nice, comfortable & clean.However--better service should have been extended. I paid in advance for 1 night--and expected information about the key to be e-mailed to me quickly--the email that I received instructed us to go to office and pick up vacation packet--packet had garage door key, parking information, but no code for entry door--electronic lock. Had to phone office again, as we stood out in hallway freezing after driving nearly 4 hours from Canyon-lands--had to give another credit card for information, because office stated Hotels.com 2nd party...and finally received the door-code after waiting for 20 minute or so. If verification was needed--they should have contacted me prior to arrival so we didn't have to wait so long. Then, we got a quick breakfast at 9:00AM following morning, came back to pack and be out by check-out time at 11:00--and door code had already been changed at 10AM? Had to call again...Kitchen should have coffee for guests; master bathroom needs floor rugs--tile floor freezing. Should be a bottle of laundry soap--not just 1 small box for 1-load. Thnx, Deb G

"Park City Ski Trip"

8.0

The Bear Hollow Village is quite close to Kimball Junction so for skiing or to get to Main Street Park City you will need a car or ride the buses. We did not use the bus system so can't comment on that but there was a bus stop quite close to our unit. The Canyons ski area is quite close by and the parking lot/bus stop has a gondola from the parking lot to the base area which is very convenient. At Deer Valley there is a very good shuttle service from the parking lots up to the base. At Park City Mountain, we had good luck the first few days with plentiful parking in the lot walking distance to the base. However, at the weekend these lots filled up fast and you had to use the pay parking or park remotely. The location by Kimball Junction is really convenient - there are plenty of dining options in the shopping areas as well as two large grocery stores. Our unit was a four bedroom which had very good WiFi service, a gaming system and a bedroom/bath/family room area in the basement which the kids took over. The hot tub on the balcony outside the master bedroom was pretty nice too. The unit had a two car garage which was great for managing ski gear. The unit was well furnished and clean. Our only minor complaint was that the dishwasher was a little old and didnt seem to do a very good job - the dishes and flatware were probably due for replacement. But other than that we had a great stay - it was a good base to ski from and would definitely book in Bear Hollow again.

"What a nightmare"

2.0

I'll start with check in. Having booked on the web, I received a confirmation that had two addresses in the instructions for the property address, which were about 1.5 miles apart. That was confusing, of course. Having gone to address #1 and found no way to enter a building, I put in a call to the management office (no answer) and went to address #2, which turned out to be the management office. The office was closed and there were instructions to use a code, which I should have received when I booked, to get into a lockbox for a key. Having no such code, I picked up the courtesy phone and found a human to speak with. She told me I was "already checked in", which I was not because I had just come straight from the airport. After a few minutes of confusion and a call back, she read me a code for the door of the condo, and off I went to the unit. Upon arrival, I realized that I had no FOB to access the parking garage, so I unloaded on the icy road outside the building. (Almost 24 hours later, the management office managed to get me a garage FOB and key to the hot tub and club house, as well as the code for accessing the Wifi. When I did finally access the parking garage the following night around 11PM, there was someone in my space with a note on their window saying that I could come to their condo to ask them to move their car. Really?) Inside, all seemed in order, except that we ran out of hot water. The kitchen was poorly equipped with pretty trashed and limited items, so cooking was a challenge. The TV/Direct TV was useless, with almost no channels available, so we weren't even able to watch something as basic as the Olympics or local news. Bonus: As I stood outside on the phone (limited reception on AT&T) I witnessed two mice walking along the wall of the corridor. I hope they're all over that. Overall, I'd say these folks are completely upside down with their operation and I was really disappointed with the entire experience. I will not go back, and I recommend that you think twice before going.
