Days Inn by Wyndham Ames

Good location. Right off Duff street close to restaurants and shopping.

Walls must be paper thin. Could hear neighbors snoring and their alarm clock that they couldn’t apparently hear!

I did not like anything about the property at all. There was no live person to greet me. I’m talking to someone on a screen which was very strange and I feel not professional.

I didn’t like a lot of things: -No live staff at the desk -no public bathroom to use after traveling for 16 hours -very outdated furnishings -there was no parking when I arrived -most importantly, the entire room was very dirty. We couldn’t even sleep under the covers bc the sheets had stains. The shower was dirty, the sink was clogged. There was actual dirt on the bench. It was not a good experience at all.

The staff was nice and welcoming. The area is good, close to good food and target. The floor was not swept or mopped which wouldn’t have bothered me as much I would just wear shoes but my crawling baby was with me, so not so great. The bathroom floor was cleaned or appeared to be. The AC ran and tried its best but simply isn’t well enough to keep the room cool. It was uncomfortably hot until the sun went down. Being close to the college there were drunk youngsters playing loud music and screaming throughout the night. The breakfast was not really a breakfast, muffins, cereal, bad fruit and waffles. I would stay here again in a pinch if I needed a place, but if looking for satisfactory rest I would not recommend.

What I didn't like was the main door to hotel rooms didn't have a lock. This is the safety issue! Anyone can come in and out. The door should remain locked all the time and can be accessed only by the guests with the access key.
