Seaside Amelia Inn - Amelia Island

Parking was wonky. We arrived before 4, no problem our room wasn't ready. But, we couldn't park on site :( Confused why the staff was taking a break at 1:40 p.m. yet rooms weren't ready ????

The room layout wasn't awesome. The cabinet that held the refrigerator was falling apart. The door to the tiny balcony did not shut properly.

Short drive to main area for restaurants and shops.

Cleanliness, rooms, pay for parking. Rooms weren’t clean, drawers hanging off hinges. Paper thin walls.

Near the beach, nice lady at front desk

Shower had mildew, soap container kept falling off. Very tight bathroom. No windows to open and windows were dirty

Pool was awful. Not sure why it even exists. Proximity to public parking detracted from the setting. As did the restaurant immediately behind. Photos presented a much more inviting location. Not true.

It was right on the beach in close proximity to a fantastic oyster bar.

The front desk receptionist was not smiley or friendly. She made me wait a very long time to process me in.

It’s on the beach. Reminds me of “Old Florida”. I love that!!
