Riverside Meadows Cabins

Awesome! Exactly what we needed for the evening - calm, relaxing patio next to the river. Cabin was perfect. Totally recommend

The location is stunning and Fritz is super kind and helpful. Also, he’s an Olympic athlete! Shout out to representing the USA in the Barcelona Games 🙌🏼 We only stayed one night, but it would be a great place to stay longer and grill, float down the River and fish, and generally enjoy the surrounding area, which is beautiful. Our cabin was super clean and well stocked with extra towels and all the things one needs (shampoo, lotion, conditioner, a coffee maker!!!!).

While the room was clean, there were lots of cobwebs up above the bed on the lighting unit, and in some of the corners of the room, as well as on the hanging photos. Additionally, the bed mattress needs to be replaced. It’s one of those super bouncy ones where if you roll over your partner pops off on the other side. No bueno.

Riverside Meadows Cabins was a great place to rent and very reasonably priced. Fritz and Paula were very easy to work with. Communication with them was prompt. Directions and signage was easy to follow. They are on site, so if there are any problems, it is dealt with quickly; although we did not have any. The area and views are incredible. We stayed in the Master Cabin and it was very nice. Literally, 5 steps outside our door were chairs and a fire pit on the banks of the Rio Grande River where you could just sit back, and enjoy the sounds of the rushing river and great views. We used this as our base for Great Sand Dunes NP and although it was a lengthy drive to the park, this setting made it worth the drive. We found some nice restaurants just a few miles into town. I would highly recommend these cabins if you are anywhere near this area. My wife wanted me to add that the color scheme in the Master cabin created calm and worked beautifully. The towels were plush. The bed was very comfy. The entire cabin was very clean and well kept.

My Husband and I stayed at Riverside Meadows cabins May 2025 for Memorial Day weekend. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Fritz and Paula are wonderful hosts! And we fell in love with their sweet dog! The cabin was clean with a very cozy feel. The cabin has anything and everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and cutlery, dish towels, paper towels, dish soap, coffee maker along with coffee grounds! We brought coffee with us so used our own, but nice to know it was there. There were even wine glasses! Plenty of books to read and games to play. Also a nice wide screen TV. We spent most of our time exploring the area though. We weren't able to kayak because the river was moving pretty quickly, but so beautiful to wake up too! Also one evening we enjoyed sitting at the firepit. There is also a hot tub for guests! Thanks Fritz and Paula for making our stay so wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Fritz was a friendly, helpful host and the studio cabin was lovely. Everything was clean, comfortable and very well organized. The kitchen was well stocked and very much appreciated. The views of the river are beautiful and we would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was great! The only thing that was missing is a microwave. A small inside table would be good too.

Wonderful stay at Riverside Meadows, I was looking for a quiet and peaceful setting. The cabins provided a welcome retreat. Fritz greeted me upon arrival and helped me get settled in. He also guided me through how to get up to Wolf Creek Ski area and back down safely even in blizzard/whiteout conditions. I was able to make the journey through 3 blizzards to have one of the best ski/snowboard experiences, with over 50 inches of fresh snow during the week. Everything in the cabin functioned as expected, the bed was comfortable, I slept well, relaxed in the hot tub, and easily found places of interest listed in the various guidebooks provided in the cabin.

Beautiful cabins right on the river. The master cabin was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a winter weekend. So much to do in the area, and the most friendly hosts! We can’t wait to visit again.
