Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

This is my second visit to the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar Resort. I come back again and again because it is a truly wonderful resort. My review is a genuine review from someone who brings his family again and again for the best vacation. Almost everything is perfect here: 1. The food is delicious and varied. 2. Only for adults, no screaming children or barking dogs. 3. Perfect cleanliness everywhere (separate workers sweep the sand on the sidewalk (even from your feet when you are lying on the sun loungers), clean the faucets until they shine, trim the bushes, comb the grass and sand). 4. Security along the perimeter and inside. 5. The buildings are restored and well-maintained, the floors shine like a mirror. 6. The pool is perfect. 7. The bars and drinks in them are excellent. 7. The entertainment team is beyond praise. Respect to them. They are true professionals. 8. Games, concerts, and parties are held every day, and no one is disturbed; everything is very harmonious. 9. The beach is cleared of algae by a tractor every day, and then by hand all day long. The entire staff is very hardworking and friendly. Now a few words about the negative aspects that the management needs to correct. 1. All the sun loungers on the beach are occupied by towels or personal belongings, although the beach is practically empty, there are no vacationers. This is because people arrive at night and reserve sun loungers for the whole day, only to return after lunch for half an hour. Therefore, I can't come to the beach and relax on a sun lounger whenever I want. I have to arrive at night to find a free sun lounger. This is disgusting. I paid for my vacation and have the right to relax on the beach whenever I want, and not stand in line for a free sun lounger. 2. I couldn't choose the room I wanted during online checkout; the website didn't give me this option (although the first time I had the opportunity to choose). 3. The Portofino and Limo restaurants have become much worse; I won't go there again. Everything else was wonderful. I definitely recommend this resort. It's pure paradise.

Incredible holiday, the people were amazing and friendly, food was superb especially the Mongolian restaurant! Rooms were clean and airconned. Zero negatives...be back in 2026!

Stayed for 1 week from December 12to 19th. 11th time visiting this resort with 7th stay at Ambar. Overall I would say it was okay. Had some issues with the room especially at beginning (safe did t work, leaking air conditioning, toilet didn’t flush) The resort itself is very nice and the beach is amazing. Food was pretty good but I found the quality dropped from last visit. Staff were very nice. I am not sure if I return, probably only if was at a cheaper price than Majestic resort that we really enjoyed last year

We loved everything! The resort was beautiful, beach was perfect, the staff was great, the food was excellent. We also especially loved all the cats! However, the Bahia Principe concern should consider castrating / neutering the cats. We want them to stay and please take good care of them, and don’t take them away! Neutering / castrating them is much better and will prevent the crowd becoming too big. Harming them or have them taken away is absolutely not necessary. I am sure people would be willing to donate for TNT (trap neuter release) projects and there’s many organizations that will help with that.

Grateful to have stayed here on 3 occasions. Went with my hubby and 2 friends. Gone slightly downhill everytime. 🙃 (sorry) Small gripes such as the Ambar beach area is very small and supposed to be exclusive to the Ambar guests. This isn't the case. We often struggled for a bed and guests from the Punta Cana and Aquamarine where using them. How rude lol..No waitress service for drinks over the 2 week period until the last day on the beach. I sound desperate but they did before. Food was often cold at the main buffet and also in some of the restaurants. A shame as the food is very nice...even cold. As an adults only hotel we had a surprise when on 3 or so occasions there were children in the lobby and also walking around the room areas. As well as by the Limbo restaurant and laid on the beach. Shocking! 😆 i did inform reception which makes me a bit of a grass but hey i dont like kids. Calm down im joking! But again it takes away the exclusive adult luxury appeal. Sorry im moaning but im honest about my personal gripes. Staff were lovely odd miserable one but hey ho. Highly recommend going and enjoying a drink in the limbo bar the staff are pleasant and make fabulous cocktails. Best pina coladas ive had and ive had a few. The entertainment was hit and miss and the music on an evening was so loud it was enough to peel a coconut! Im no old fool but wow spolit the lounge vibe that plays through the outdoor speakers on the walkways. The rooms are a little bit tired, we had a swim up. The area is nice, kept well clean and the gardens are looked after. Inside like I say its tired - who isn't! But yes its ready for a refresh..the lobby bar is old fashioned with a small bar old wooden chairs and just needs updating - again dont like repeating that word as i can looked dated too after a hard day 😉 id still recommend it tho. I do love this place and will come back. P.s And the coffee is great in the coffee shop..wed have one there and then walk to the esmerelda one and get one there too. Enjoy! Jen 😊

The resort is very clean. It's right on the beach with chairs, palabras, and palm trees. The resort is quiet and peaceful. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are spacious. The food in the buffets is good and there are many restaurants you can reserve. This resort is excellent value for the money.

We had a fantastic time at the Bahia Luxury Ambar, Punta Cana. This was our third visit and we will be returning in 2026. This hotel ticked all the boxes i.e. all inclusive, adults only, plenty to do. The Bahia resort itself also has a casino/nightclub, shops and a regular buggy service which runs between each of the hotels. The Ambar is located on a great beach and the hotel hold a number of parties on it each week. There are plenty of a la carte restaurants to choose from but the hotel buffet is really good also with plenty of choice. The rooms are spacious (we have always booked a junior suite). The staff always go out of their way to ensure you stay in truly memorable. Would recommend this hotel if you are flying from the UK.

we traveled here because ai wanted a different experience in another resort in Punta Cana. we spent 9 days there and the comfort of the beds were not too good. the beds were hard as a board the pillows were flat as pancakes. the bars couldn’t even bring me the local dominican drink mama juana. the hotel complex is too big however the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food at the buffet was very good and the food at the mongolian grill was phenomenal. my wife asked for a strawberry daiquiri and she got basically a juice. personally this resort doesn’t have much to offer than other resorts ive been to. constantly I had to keep telling the privilege staff I didn’twant to be a member. overall I had a good experience but not a great one

Resort is beautiful, with relaxing pools and beach. Restaurants for most part were good. Food was plentiful. Drinks were for the most part good. Taste varied on who was making it rooms were spacious and clean. The price if fair for the experience you receive. I have gone back numerous times and will go back again soon. I would recommend to friends and family.

Great clean lively large resort for adults - excellent experience would go again and again . Clean rooms and excellent staff whom leave you wanting for nothing
