Glacier View Lodge

Great location if you are visiting Columbia Icefield.

位置位置还是位置，房价里面应该有1/3是这个位置，1/3是正对冰川的大落地窗。酒店和冰川旅客中心就是上下楼，下个楼就能登车出发。酒店设施齐全，干净整洁，大堂有免费的咖啡和水，还给我们升了山景房，虽然窗户只有一点点大。大堂有令人惊艳的大落地窗，可以一览冰川美景。

Wifi信号不好，在房间里基本搜不到。餐厅价格比较贵。我们来的时候是今年第一天营业，所以有一些新员工操作不太熟练。

Beautiful location and friendly staff

No underground parking or indoor parking. During a heavy snowstorm, we had to park outside and retrieve our own luggage carts to manage everything on our own. The hotel itself was fine with excellent view, just that everything was self service.

Me and my husband enjoyed our 10th anniversary at the Cif. Our host Liz was amazing, very funny and informative. Our view was excellent and we enjoyed the cocktail hour. The prime rib at altitude was excellent and our server Brianna was so kind.

This is a great way to fully experience the Athabascan Glacier area. We did the complete tour, room, skywalk, walk on glacier. Arriving in the late afternoon allowed us to visit the Skywalk with just 24 people. No long lines to stand in ever. Rooms are spare but clean. Enjoying a charcuterie tray and drinks in the lounge with spectacular view of glacier is a special memory. Getting up early enabled us to walk on the glacier before the crowds appeared. Again no lines to wait in. Food choices are adequate.

Our stay at Glacier View Lodge was the highlight of our 2 week trip! From the moment we stepped off the elevator until check out we were treated like royalty. Our room was large and modern with upgraded amenities like a Dyson hair dryer and Nespresso coffee maker. The windows in the reception area are the ones in the pictures. The room windows are not quite as big but it was still a wonderful view of the glacier. We attended the cocktail/charcuterie reception for all guests (maybe 25 people?) and were surprised at the amount of food. The free drinks were a pink slushy with gin - not to my taste so I opted for an $11 beer. Most drank the hotel cocktails and mingled, a nice touch! Afterwards we ate at the Altitude Restaurant, which was also fantastic. Need I say more? We loved it here and were sad to leave.

Very convenient! Clean. Friendly staff. Altitude staff very friendly and helpful. Wished Starbucks opened earlier, would’ve liked to have taken a coffee on the road since it was such a cool morning.
