Glacier View Lodge

Our stay at Glacier View Lodge was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the glaciers right outside the lobby window. The tours and activities were thoughtfully planned and so much fun—we truly enjoyed every moment. The reception team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. A special shoutout to Bronte for being incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. Thank you for making our experience so special!

Absolutely stunning view. Enjoyed the glacier. Lost a few stars because we paid for two nights that were billed as "all-inclusive" which to me means the meals are provided as part of the package. On the second day we were told the meals were not provided. No food on second day for our family of four. This was disappointing because it is truly a remote place so we had no other options on restaurants to eat at and were forced to buy the food there at the resort, which was very expensive, especially since the package said it was already paid for and we felt like it was a bait and switch. Notice my other reviews. I almost never give low reviews. I reserve them for experiences like this.

This is the only hotel for miles around and the closest to the Athabasca Glacier. You can do day tours without staying at the lodge that runs the tours and has places to eat, BUT the benefit is when all the tourists leave and you can have the area all to yourself. We didnt want dinner that night so we made sandwiches in our room. But you can make reservations for a fancy dinner if you chose to. We had lunch in the cafeteria style place and breakfast in the sit down restaurant and had a great lunch buffet after we went on the glacier. We elected to stay 2 nights as we just wanted to chill and sit and look at this view. With our stay we got a tour of the glass sky walk when all the day tourists had left as well as we got to be first out onto the glacier so well worth it. I will do a separate video about the tours . this was just for the room tour. The only downside to this hotel is there is NO heat in the rooms. We were quite cold and I went to the front desk and they thankfully had a few heater to give out and we got one. I heard someone after us ask about it but they didnt have any more heaters. The lobby has a complimentary coffee maker and water and teas that hit the spot.

Great views of the Athabasca Glacier and easy to take the early morning tours. Rooms were large and could have easily fitted 4 people in our room.

Was quite expensive for what you got. Rooms advertised as for 2 even though more could have fitted in the room (we didn’t need to book the 2 rooms for the 4 of us).

Beautiful setting, bed was comfortable, room was clean. Complimentary Happy Hour was nice but the gin was barely noticeable in the drinks.

Aircon temp is set by the management. if you're too hot or too cold you can't adjust the room temperature. A $200 bond seems excessive for a one night stay. No cheaper options for food other than expensive restaurants. A small grocery section in the shop would be a good idea.

We had viewing shock with outside of room. This great experience I will like to share with my friends. Good foods and atmosphere of reception time, we all enjoy it. But is it possible to have heater available depending on weather not just follow lodge's rule, turn on after Nov. , the room was so cold, we have to wear multiple clothes/ coat to sleep.

Very clean and comfortable room. Had lots of extras - ice soaps, yoga mat, robes, and an excellent view of the glacier. Good coffee machine in the lobby that is self serve.

It was quite pricey, but there are no other options around.
