Review of Karma Bavaria My boyfriend and I stayed for four nights after purchasing a promotional stay at a stand at the Ideal Home Show. The offer was presented as a discounted break aimed at introducing a younger audience to the brand, with the understanding that we would attend a short presentation (around 45 minutes) about Karma’s other resorts. We were told it was mainly to raise awareness and that there would be no pressure selling. Firstly, the hotel itself is lovely. The setting is beautiful and although there were a few small maintenance issues and some repairs happening, that is understandable out of season. The reception and hospitality staff were excellent throughout our stay and couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. It was clear there was also a separate sales team. When we arrived we were approached by Vita, who asked if we could arrange a time to sit down and hear about how the Karma membership works. As we had literally just arrived, we asked to do this later so we could get our bearings and unpack first. Her Manager Dimitri was present throughout the week, he was very chatty, friendly and confident, and throughout the week Vita and Dimitri would often sit and talk with us which felt friendly and relaxed. Because Vita was unfortunately unwell on the day we had originally arranged our talk, we ended up having the presentation on our final evening. That in itself wasn’t a problem. However, what we had understood would be around 45 minutes ended up lasting more than two hours. Vita was explaining everything well, especially as they had told us she had just started and it might have been one of her first presentations, half way through out of the blue Dimitri brought other guests who had joined the programme to share their experiences before Vita had finished explaining what they offered. Eventually I asked if we could move on to the actual offer as it was our last night and we had dinner plans. By that point we had already missed the chance to spend time in the spa that afternoon as we had been told attending the presentation was part of the deal. When the offer was finally discussed it sounded like a good overall package. However it involved committing to payments of almost £600 per month for a year. We had mentioned several times during the week that we are currently renovating our house and already have significant renovation costs, so unfortunately we simply couldn’t commit to that level of monthly payment at the moment. Dimitri suggested we take an hour to think about it and later offered the option of spreading the payments over two years. While we appreciated the flexibility, I explained that financially it still wasn’t something we could commit to right now. By this point the meeting had already run so long that we missed our dinner reservation. The following morning we saw Dimitri again. I said good morning, apologised for not catching him after our dinner the night before to confirm our decision and thanked him for the alternative payment suggestion, but explained again that we just couldn’t afford the commitment at the moment. Unfortunately the response felt quite abrupt and dismissive, and I was told my reasoning didn’t make sense and that if we really wanted to proceed we would have found a way to afford it because 'it really isn't much money to find' - he told me he didn't care, was in a rush and had no time to talk to me. After what had otherwise been a very friendly week, this interaction left me feeling quite uncomfortable. Vita said hello to us at breakfast shortly afterwards but was noticeably more formal than she had been earlier in the week. I did feel sorry for her as she had been friendly and professional throughout and seemed to be doing her best. Up until that moment our holiday had genuinely been wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful and the hospitality staff were fantastic. It was just disappointing that the experience ended on that note, as it left me feeling quite upset when the rest of our stay had been so enjoyable. It’s a shame because the other resorts shown during the presentation looked amazing, and under different circumstances we probably would have considered visiting another. Unfortunately the way the final interaction felt has made us hesitant about doing so. I do hope the management team reflects on how the sales process is handled, as it would be a shame for other guests to leave with a similar feeling after what is otherwise a beautiful place to stay.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Karma Bavaria and would definitely consider returning. The highlight for us was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the whole stay feel very relaxed. The food in the restaurant was also excellent, with some really delicious meals during our visit. The location is fantastic, set in a beautiful area with easy access to the surrounding lakes and mountains. It’s a great base for exploring and there are plenty of scenic walks and places to visit nearby. The spa area was nice, but some parts could do with a little maintenance. We were also a bit disappointed that the spa therapist was on holiday during our stay and there wasn’t a replacement available, as treatments were something we had been looking forward to. One small thing worth mentioning is that there was a slight undertone of being encouraged to attend a membership presentation for the Karma group. It wasn’t overly pushy, but it did feel a little uncomfortable at times. Overall though, we had a lovely stay. The friendly atmosphere, great food and beautiful location made it a very enjoyable trip and we would happily return.

Bombastisches Frühstück sodass man danach kein Mittagsessen mehr brauch. Schöne, moderne und saubere Zimmer, großer Balkon. Abendessen haben wir nicht gebucht. Komme sehr gerne so schnell wie möglich wieder!!! Und an den vierbeinigen Empfang bedanke ich mich besonders :-))))

Sehr schöne moderne renovierte gut ausgestattete saubere große Suite. Sehr bequeme Betten und Sitzmöbel. Vollständige Küche. Gutes WLAN. Perfekte Bettwäsche, flauschige Bademäntel und Handtücher, überall Duschgel und Schampoo. Gutes vielseitiges leckeres Frühstücks-Buffet. Tolles kleines SPA mit großer Fensterfront und Möglichkeit draußen in der Sonne zu sitzen: schön warmer Raum, kühles sauberes Wasser im Schwimmbad (mit Gegenstrom-Anlage und Massage-Wasserfall), sehr angenehm heißer Whirlpool und Dampfbad

Weg von der Suite zum SPA ohne Überdachung im Freien. Mit Bademantel und Badeschuhen durch Regen/Schnee ins SPA laufen??? Duschbereich im SPA defekt. SPA-Bereich an manchen Stellen etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Keine frischen Handtücher im SPA-Bereich. Riesen-Wäscheberge nicht regelmäßig abgeholt. Duschen im Saunabereich nicht richtig kalt. Zu wenig Liegen am Schwimmbad. Einziger Trinkwasserspender leer. Beim Frühstück war vieles immer wieder leer -> mehr Personal benötigt?

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food at dinner was very tasty and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. Breakfast provided different options. The location is nice and there was a nice view from our room. Everything was always clean.
