We were left alone in the hotel as soon as the front desk person walked us to our room and handed us the keys. She locked the front door and left. We had told her we wanted to enjoy the rooftop pool and hot tub and she said to let her know when we were ready. We went down to let her know and she had left for the night. Absolutely no one around anywhere When we went back up to our room I was climbing the stairs to my loft room and the pvc pipe they used for railings was moving around in its brackets. The walls were unfinished being painted and trimmed. No one informed us the hot and cold water nozzles in the sink and shower were reversed and we almost were scalded by the water. I requested a 30% refund but was denied and they said we’ll give you 2 complimentary tickets to tour the rooftop pools and enjoy wine?! I live 2 hours away!! 0/10 recommendations for this place

The place is utterly charming with a lot of love poured into making the experience pleasant and memorable. We stayed in a wonderful room with an full bath the first night and extended our stay, moving into another room with a not so great bathroom the next, but it's a very old house and I marvel at how they keep it going. Guests have access to the grounds and hot tubs on the roof and in the garden, lovely places to sit and read and the staff was just wonderful. I would definitely go back - and make sure we get the room with the spectacular bath!

The authenticitiy of the place includes marble bathroom floors that are super slick. Also, while the breakfast was delicious (great coffee!!) the breakfast is a little sweeter that we prefer. I understand there is a menu though, we just didn't ask for it.

Bed was extremely comfy. The room was spacious & pretty decor. Breakfast was a very European w little croissants, mini quiche fruit & even a dessert

Coffee was weak & I would have liked more of a wine selection by the glass. They only offered the Henderson wine which wasn’t to my liking
