Henderson Castle Inn

The castle was truly a beautiful experience all around, from the architecture, decor, antiques, to the incredible food. Everything was lovely!

Next time we will choose a room inside the castle instead of the cottage house. Although it was lovely, it didn't compare to the atmosphere inside.

Being able to book the sane day

I feel this was a bait and switch situation. I booked The Henderson Castle and ended up at another location.The Upjohn House The room REEKS OF URINE and it was hot. The bed is uncomfortable the bathtub was dirty. The room DOES NOT HAVE A HOTTUB OR SAUNA. And they put the in room bathroom has no wall it's literally behind the head board. The home is beautiful but POORLY managed. Very disappointed

The property was beautiful. The castle was very interesting and the staff was very nice and friendly. We also had dinner and spa treatments while we were there. The massages were very good and we were served macaroons and champagne during are couples massage.

Keep in mind I am very critical, my wife and I are both chefs i'm savory my wife is a pastry chef. Even though our expectations were high concerning the price point. We are also vegetarian we were excited that they offered options on their regular menu. The escargot was the star of the evening. Both of our entrees were underwhelming. Very bland had to ask for salt and pepper. My wives dish was missing the described sauce, and we ended up sending the dessert back. I won't go into detail why because I don't want to hurt the business, however it was not a very good experience.

I loved the scenery. The room was so beautiful. I could hear a lot of noise below, so I dont know if the dining room was beneath me. Kira was an amazing help and carried my huge suitcase for me. Im so thankful for her. My dinner was OK I probably wouldn't eat there again as it was expensive.

The food was ok. I dont think it was worth the price, but I'm glad I tried it once.
