Astarte Suites

What a magical and beautiful place built into the hillside of southern Santorini. The staff were the most attentive ever and the site was beautiful in every way!

this property was above and beyond our expectations. The staff was very humble. They made sure we had a really nice trip Jenny Petros and anesthesia went above and beyond to make sure you had a good stay would definitely recommend.

We loved everything about this hotel. Literally everything. This place is truly magical and the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were impeccable - from the welcome by the reception team, to the staff in the bar, restaurant, and pool area, everyone was exceptional. The views, standard of room, and the food all far exceeded expectations. I didn't want to leave! The views from this hotel are breathtaking and you're far enough from the busy, touristy areas to feel like you're on your own private island (but still near enough to nip to all the "must sees/dos"). Breakfast is served every morning to your own private balcony/terrace and you can sit, overlooking the sea and volcano whilst sipping on a freshly brewed coffee and munching on a cinnamon whirl or delicious omelette made to order. Heaven. The infinity pool area is calm and drinks are served all day if you want to just relax by the pool. The FOOD...treat yourself to a tasting menu one evening and you won't regret it. It is not cheap...but it's a real experience eating that quality of food, while overlooking that view. If you're staying for more than one night, also head to the Taverna just behind the hotel for a relaxed Greek vibe - mouthwatering gyros (and epic view of the sunset!). The room has a tastefully done Grecian-style jacuzzi and the cleaners come in at least twice (if not three times) per day. The cleanliness of the place is second to none. The bed is super comfy and, again, waking up to that view is unreal! I can't recommend this hotel more highly - seriously, book it!

Fabulous service, super clean and well maintained, very comfortable. Beautiful views and they make you feel special. Remote from most of the island which was what we wanted but be aware - need taxi/hire buggy to get around if you wish to.

The island was super expensive to get taxis ordered by the hotel. I suggest booking Uber for pick ups - you need 2 hours in advance for bookings on the island. Plan ahead or rent a 4 wheeler, we will next time. Lots of stairs everywhere you go in Santorini, not just this hotel.

Very professional receptionists, special thanks to jenny for making our stay at astarte the best experience, super nice, clean, all the services offered were satisfactory. The restaurant alali was where we had the finest meals in the whole island. Cant compare it, overall very happy with my atay.

I recently stayed at Astarte Suites, and unfortunately, it was not the pleasant experience I had expected. From the moment I entered the room, there was a strong chlorine smell in the air, which was quite overwhelming. As my spouse has asthma and is sensitive to strong odors, I immediately brought this concern to the attention of the reception staff. Regrettably, the response I received was less than satisfactory. The receptionist tried to convince me that the smell was from fresh water and insisted that there was no issue. I found this response to be dismissive and lacking empathy towards my spouse's health condition. I requested to be moved to another room, but I was told that the hotel was fully booked and no alternative accommodations were available. This experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. As paying guests, we should be able to expect a certain level of service, especially in a 5-star hotel like Astarte Suites. The lack of willingness to address our concerns in a satisfactory manner was disheartening. It is essential for hotels to prioritize the well-being and comfort of their guests, especially when it comes to health-related issues. Moreover, the overall service at Astarte Suites fell short of what one would expect from a 5-star establishment. The indifference and rudeness displayed by the reception staff only compounded the problem. I believe that a true mark of a quality hotel lies in their ability to handle guest concerns professionally and with care, but unfortunately, this was lacking during my stay. I would strongly recommend that the management of Astarte Suites take these issues seriously and make improvements in their customer service and attention to guest needs. A genuine commitment to guest satisfaction is what sets exceptional hotels apart from the rest.
