TownePlace Suites by Marriott Harrisburg Hershey

This was the first time staying at the TownePlace Marriott. I thought it should be similar to the Residence Inn. This place is nothing like that. It has a very minimalist feel. The furniture was cheap and the spaces were small. The location was not the cleanest, nor the most up to date. The room had dirty dishes in the cabinet, the floor was sticky, the microwave was dirty, and the refrigerator was dirty. The cabinets had broken knobs and the bathroom toilet paper holder was broken. The TP was on the counter. The shower curtain rod was broken, and the toilet seat was loose. We stayed 3 days and I saw the same dirt on the steps where housekeeping was not vacuuming them daily. The coffee in the lobby was cold the two times I tried to get some. The place seems like the floors are paper-thin. The people above us walked (or had a child) who ran across the floor constantly. The doors from other rooms slammed hard, and it was noisy accommodations. The first morning, the main food was gone by 815a but was supposed to be served until 930a. The next morning it was very minimal to eat and I made a waffle where the batter was too runny. I would say if anyone is planning to stay here- Caveat Emptor. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Very disappointed and will not stay here again

I should receive a full refund. There were water quality issues that did not allow me to shower, use the sink, or use ice cubes. The staff was polite and professional, but the facility itself was unacceptable. It smelled like chlorine due so some water treatment that was being done to fix the water quality issues. The pool was closed down. Overall, it was not the stay I was expected and paid for.

Only criticism was the hot tub needed to be cleaned people had scraped “clean me I’m dirty” into the scum along the edge, it was pretty gross

The property was nice. The staff was friendly.

The musty smell of the room. The room was moist for most of our stay. The floors were slippery from the moisture. We did have an incident about a room calling us pretending to me front desk, this was handled promptly from the from the front desk.

The location is great.

The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. Housekeeping did not service our room daily, and we had to request fresh towels each night. Despite prepaying, we were double charged, which caused a major inconvenience and forced us to cancel some of our planned activities. Communication from the staff regarding billing and room service was poor and unhelpful. Overall, the property did not meet expectations based on the advertised amenities and service standards.
