Homewood Suites by Hilton at Carolina Point - Greenville

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. I was given a room with single bed and a crappy uncomfortable sofa. When I asked to change it I was told that all is booked for the night and I should speak to the manager in the morning. Manager promised to move our things to another room when it will be cleaned after previous guest. Didn’t happen. I was promised a refund for one night out of two. Didn’t happen. The hotel system was supposedly down, so I couldn’t wait at the desk until I got my refund. They promised they will do the refund and I’m still waiting for any update at all. Apparently it is very hard for them to do anything about the reservation from hotels.com… so, I guess I will make sure to filter out Hilton when I’m searching next time. In addition breakfast was below average and everything was missing all the time and guests had to ask the staff to bring plates, cups, coffee and so on. One wing of the hotel does not have an elevator and guests need to go by foot along the whole wing to get to the room. The room is noisy due to central ac (or whatever) constantly working behind the wall. Staff were nice and polite but it turned out totally unprofessional. Really not recommending this property.

We checked into the Homewood Suites by Hilton at 102 Carolina Point Parkway in Greenville on Saturday, June 15th for one night. One of us awoke in the middle of the night after feeling something crawling across our face and neck. We got up and turned on the lights to discover there were bed bugs crawling on our pillows, and literally eating us alive. We caught several of them and placed them in a coffee cup from the room. We contacted the front desk, and promptly brought them one of the bed bugs. The front desk woman gave us the name and contact information for the supervisor of the hotel. We contacted the supervisor, Mike Guarino, and provided photos, videos, and a detailed explanation of what we experienced. We had trouble sleeping the rest of the night for obvious reasons. It was a disgusting and uncomfortable situation. Apparently hotel management could not have cared any less, as we received no response, no communication, no apology, no interest whatsoever in our awful experience in their hotel. There are a lot of hotels and lodging options in the area. Choose a place to spend your hard earned money that cares about their guests and that is not infested with blood sucking bed bugs.

The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable

It is located next to a noisy freeway, the breakfast is honestly terrible, and the pool is dirty.

The pillows were very soft and the carpets needs cleaning.

The bed was very comfortable, but everything else was below average. The kitchen floor was sticky, the carpeted area had food on it that hadn't been vacuumed up, the sheets were worn out, the a/c did a poor job of cooling, and the toilet kept running. This is one of very few times I've written a poor review for anything, and this is my first experience staying at any Hilton brand hotel that I wouldn't recommend.

There were no directions given from the front desk as to how to get to our room - not a biggie. The room itself was dated and smelled like body odor. The bathroom floor grout was black and probably hadn’t been cleaned since the 1900’s. The handles on the shower door were rusted and broken….but the bed …..the bed was SO COMFORTABLE!!!!!

At check-oin the lady was on the phone. She charged my card three different times even though I booked through hotels.com. The website said $50 for a pet, she charged $75 and was very hateful and said we charge $75 and the site is wrong. Charged another $50 fee then a nights stay fee. She was so rude and hateful. If it wasn't 10 pm I would have tried to find somewhere else to stay but with almost $500 tied up on my card I was very upset too. I would never stay here again.

It was a very convenient Hotel for the price i mean younare literally in the middle of all the food u could want and not that far from downtown
