Parador Nature Resort and Spa

Rooms: Suite was spacious with a very nice view of the beach and the ocean. Nearby activities: Walk to the beach. Along the monkey trail , the beach viewpoint was very nice. The trail provided for a good morning walk. Also, the nearby Biesanz beach was at a walkable distance. Food & drinks: Breakfast was varied - though I missed oatmeal and nuts like in some other hotels. Also, I don't want to eat preserved bananas in Costa Rica. There were adequate choices for vegans in the lunch/dinner menu that were very flavorful and filling. Staff was very courteous, pleasant and professional.

Hot water from the shower hit with high pressure which was not pleasant.

We are a family if 5 that stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our 16 day Costa Rica adventure. The swimming pools were lovely with a fantastic view out to the pacific ocean. Some sort of interesting wildlife visited every day (including Sloths, Coatis, Racoons, Monkeys) which was amazing! Rooms were immaculate and spacious. Nice games room (although please please invest in some new pool cues! Staff were excellent.

The family swimming pool didn't have anywhere near enough sunbeds, but I guess we visited at peak, peak time. The restaurants were extortionate (e.g. $38 for a pretty average burger, $7 for the smallest ever portion of fries).. I guess you expect a price hike when going 5*, especially given the isolated location (no other food choices within walking distance), but we were disappointed having spent the previous 2 weeks eating similar standard food out and about at much more reasonable prices. If you are coming here to treat yourself to luxury at the end of a more adventurous grass roots holiday, then it might feel a bit sterile and trapped compared to life on the road! However if you purely want 5* luxury, drinking at the poolbar, and are happy spending $$$ at the onsite restaurants then I'm sure you'll be very happy! Personally we wish we'd extended our stay at our previous location (AirBnB in Drake Bay) and reduced our time here to 3 nights rather than 4.

More food choices for lunch and dinner and nicer looking rooms

We had an amazing stay, we saw so many animals right by the pool and around the hotel (Toucans, iguanas, sloths etc.). This was our favourite place in Costa Rica :)

Food can be a little expensive in the hotel

Tolle Aussicht, grosser Pool, sehr viele Tiere (Faultier, Aputi, Iguanas etc.), Anlage sehr gepflegt

Essen und Getränke sehr teuer und qualitativ naja, Wir hatten ein Gartenzimmer mit üblem Geruch im Badezimmer, Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet nicht unbedingt 5 Sterne tauglich
