Food, pool, cleaning service, no privacy for the guest in restaurant and pool area because it’s open to public and gets crowded and noisy. No wifi in the new building and the tv won’t work as well. Was very disappointed with the room. Road to enter the building needs fix. Rooms were not ready after 2pm on the arrival day. $170fd per night should at least have better breakfast options than only this. Not choosing this hotel again!!

The Grand Eastern is literally located in the heart of Labasa town centre. Walking distance to shops & markets. Labasa was extremely busy in Sept with a significant amount of sugar cane trucks due to crushing season. This caused an excessive amount of soot in the air as well. Children thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Staff were friendly & the hotel was quite busy. The hotel also rents cars out through Vanua Levu car hire. This was not only convenient, but the cost was also affordable $90 per day. Complimentary breakfast was pretty standard, but appreciative.

Great location

Over heard the reception talk about bed bugs in a room that needed dealt with later seen mattress go thru dining room… With our booking felt like they stuck us in an old room instead of new rooms. I paid for 2 separate rooms full price no discount for old rooms!!! Both had low water pressure shower, no water pressure bath sink, not even lukewarm water, smelled of sewer, Cockroach’s, dirty pillows, and old blankets. Was clean as the old rooms could be paid top dollar had to go book other accommodation for the extended stay Labasa. Also didn’t even get a question of how was your stay from reception or I would have just told instead of giving a review. Very very disappointing when there is an entire new area. Stopped short of going to reception in the middle of the night and saying I will not stay here, didn’t want to cause a scene. Will never be back and have been a long standing customer in the past. Sad!!
