Mountain Lake Lodge

My hubby and I finally took a trip to Mountain Lake Lodge to explore the scenes from Dirty Dancing but also just to have a little getaway in the mountains to celebrate our anniversary. The grounds are pretty and hiking is plentiful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and our accommodations were clean. We would consider going back!

We were on a road trip and Mountain Lake Lodge was on our itinerary. First, I would recommend staying there, the lodge and the area are fabulous. However, like many of the mountain lodges which were fabulous back in the day and had folks that knew how to maintain and deliver good services, Mountain Lake falls short. The grounds and the cabins are in need of upgrading. The food at all levels need some serious upgrading. The folks that work there are very pleasant but you can tell they are stressed to produce a quality product for what you pay to stay there. Simply said, like most of the icon places in America the Mountain Lake Lodge is nowhere near what it once was. I sincerely hope this place gets better and returns to the glory years.

The lodge was beautiful and incredibly accommodating. We had the best tim, we did the dirty dancing scavenger hunt! We Can’t wait to go back!

The property on Mountain Lake Lodge is absolutely stunning! The cabins, Lodge and cottages were well equipped and clean. The staff was fabulous! Food and drink service was understaffed, so there was too much waiting time for service

When we got there around 7 pm we were not told where to get coffee or food or about the amenities $30 No continental breakfast or coffee when asked at the desk the woman said go to the market. Thought she met down the road . No ne told us it was there hidden around the corner of main building. Breakfast was good . No lights on to walk down several wood and stone steps in the dark . Had to use our phone light . No heated pools , No air conditioning, no Kleenex in rooms . I would not stay again. Go walk the grounds take your pictures buy from gift store as long as your not a Large because there are non to be found . But stay and eat somewhere else to Pricey for what you get .

From my very first phone call to arrange our weekend getaway to the warm and welcoming check-in with Jackson, every moment radiated exceptional service. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Rhonda were not just meals; both the food and Rhonda's friendliness and attention to detail were experiences to savor. Our excursion with Andy, who generously shared his fascinating insights about the area and the iconic filming of "Dirty Dancing," added a thrilling layer to an already perfect itinerary. As for our accommodations at the Eggleson cabin, the spacious rooms and thoughtfully designed layout provided the perfect retreat, seamlessly blending comfort with charm in a truly magical setting. (For a delightful stay in the Eggleson cabin, be sure to rent a golf cart, as direct access by vehicle is not available. This little adventure will enhance your experience and allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of your surroundings!)

It was quiet and pretty. Something different to check out.

The customer service was top notch, beautiful views. The cabins were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The views were absolutely beautiful.
