Mountain Lake Lodge is an exceptional retreat. Only a few miles west of Blacksburg, this resort offers the perfect escape. Rooms and cabins are very clean and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed our gator ride around the property and to an amazing overlook. Employees are all very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place to visit! Although the stone lodge is advertised as not having A/C, it was not bad at all. The window to our room opened and a fan was provided so the cool mountain air made the room comfortable. Staff members were all very friendly

I’ve stayed here several times I’ve the years and have never had anything but great experiences. The staff is knowledgeable, very friendly and, above all, competent! They want you to have a great experience. Their attitude makes the difference.

Beautiful property that looks like it is right out of the movie . They were a little short staffed so dining service was a little slow but every staff member was so kind and attentive. Lots of great trails surrounding the property. Don’t forget your bug spay!!!! The pool and hot tub were nice .

This place is very special, whether you're a fan of Dirty Dancing or not. Its location is just beautiful, so peaceful and totally immersed in its surroundings. There are so many lovely trails where the only sound is birdsong. No planes overhead, trains or traffic. That's a rare thing in the US!! The Dirty Dancing info and scenes are realy well done, we loved it all!

The mountain to get up to the resort is very steep and tight turns our car smoked when we reached the top!! As a resort I thought food would be free but it was horribly expensive for mediocre quality food. Paid 700 dollars to stay in a room with no ac no microwave or refrigerator or tv, what little WiFi we had was bad signal this place was overpriced and overrated I will not come back nor recommend this money pit!!!

Older hotel with a squeaky small bed. We went there mostly for the kitsch of being at the place where they filmed dirty dancing. But it was very pricey for what it was. Thin walls where we heard the heater? next door all night. No air conditioning and poor circulation. We booked a couples retreat weekend that included breakfast and champagne (sparkling wine from New Zealand in reality) upon arrival. Breakfast was a buffet with terrible coffee rather than on-demand ordering. We skipped the second day of breakfast even though it was included. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so the service was good, it just didn't make up for the rest of it.
