Bow Guest House

Comfortable stay, great breakfast included, good value, and central location near the centre. Just what you need to stay for one night, and always nice to have a sink in the room. Really friendly and helpful staff, I had to leave late and they allowed me to still use one of the rooms to get changed in.

My stay at the bow guest house was really good. From checking in made welcome with such a friendly greeting. I had a single room with shared bathroom. It was ok for 1 night stay. Clean and comfy. The breakfast was really good. There was ceriel with fresh orange. Full english with 2 toast, cooked to good standard. Again friendly lady who was serving and cleaning after each table cleared. 👍 You couldnt ask for more. The guest house is close to lots of eaterys and take aways. The bus stop is at the end of the next street. I ate at the Burger den on the corner of Waylen street reading. The best chicken fillet buger i have had . I would recoment this guest house for short stays.

This was what you want from a B&B, very friendly and helpful staff, a nice quiet room, and an excellent breakfast. The room was basic, but comfortable, and had everything I needed (I opted for a private bath - the shower and sink were right in the room, although the toilet was separated) Free off street parking which seems to be unusual for reading, and very appreciated. One of the staff members helped me with my bags to my car when leaving which was a nice touch. Easy walking distance to where I needed to go as well, and felt safe walking back.

It wasn't clear what area was the parking for Bow Guest House, so hopefully they put up a sign to make it easier for their guests. You have to go through a public (paid) area to directly behind the house, but there weren't marked bays, so it's unclear that it's for guest use. They were happy to direct me to the right area once I called though (and I felt secure leaving my car parked there)

Place was lovely and clean, with friendly helpfull staff. Breakfast was good. With free parking

Shared bathroom needed a handle on the door, needed help to get out. Didn't use the shower, so unable to comment on how easy it would have been to use.
