Spotless hotel - we stayed in the rooms external to the property which were a stones throw from the hotel itself. Attentive staff with great personalities, huge portions of food for breakfast and dinner. Super glad we shared a starter and I went for a childs portion of bolognese.

The benches in the garden on a gorgeous day were so uncomfortable we drove to another spot to relax. We did raise this with the hotel and they explained that the patio was being cleqned down in a weeks time to make way for new furniture.

My room (24) was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were informative and professional on my check-in and out. I went there to decompress during a very pressing and emotional time I'm currently going through. This establishment and location was perfect. I left feeling more relaxed with a clear head.

There was nothing to dislike.

A wonderful last-minute find and a genuinely welcoming place to stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel looked after and at home. Danny and Billie gave us such a warm welcome, shared helpful local knowledge, and kindly fitted us in for a hearty, filling supper. The friendly hospitality continued the next morning with Debbie, who ran breakfast so efficiently and cheerfully. The local kippers were excellent, and the full English just the ticket - perfect fuel for a day exploring Suffolk. Overall, the warmth of the team really made the stay feel special.

The only minor downside was that we couldn’t open the window at night a inch or two, as it didn’t appear to be working, and we - and the bedroom - could have benefited from a little more fresh air as we slept (well).
