Hotel Riviera

Loved this hotel for it's location and overall feel. The room was large and spacious and so was the bathroom. It all seemed very clean and new. Breakfast was a treat with a variety of bread, cookies, fruit, meats and cheese. The staff was VERY helpful, carried my bag up the stairs (no elevator) and explained how the TV and AC worked in the room. This was my favorite hotel on the trip.

Wonderful place to stay...we couldn't believe how beautiful the room was for the price! Lots of stairs, though, and no elevator, so you'll be doing a lot of climbing. Worth every shortened breath! Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good, as well. And there is a lovely Sala for sitting and reading, etc. We were able to wander the Old Town at will and still return to the hotel for breaks. Be warned that the students from the University like to party at night, so it can get loud when they are about. We were at the front of the hotel, so perhaps a room toward the back or side would be better if you're sensitive to noise. Otherwise, there is no traffic noise as it's on a pedestrian only street. To leave for train station (which is recently remodelled and very nice), you just walk down a block and a half to the main plaza and pick up a taxi at the taxi stand.

Nice staff, let us check in two hours early with no complaints or hassles at all (and no prior warning, since we got in earlier than expected). Main square is literally a minute away, so the hotel is pretty close to everything you might be interested in. Breakfast was excellent (wonderful cookies). Room was quiet and clean, and the windows looked out into a small street with shops and a little foot traffic so nice people watching. All in all, would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

The location is excellent, right in the old town. All the attractions at walking distance. Nice breakfast. The hotel offers very limited number of parking spots, close to the Cathedral. We chose to leave our car in a paid parking lot for 2 reasons: 1) Driving in that area is a nightmare if you are not familiar with it; 2) we were a bit concerned about safety. In any case, in the case you are driving, I recommend doing the homework and locating both hotel parking lot and alternative parking before heading to Evora.

what is expected for a 3 star hotel. located in middle of town and close to all the sights in town. room was clean and well maintained. staff was helpful.

Only stayed one night. We had a great time. Nice restaurants near the hotel. Great location. parking is a bit difficult, the hotel parking was full but we found parking nearby.

Reception was very friendly and helpful. This hotel does not have an elevator and parking place is 100-150 meters away of it. So you have to take it in account. The guy in reception took our baggage up and down the stairs on first request. The location is little bit complicated , be careful when driving by car , GPS will try to direct you to very tiny streets and sometimes against the rules.

Right in the middle of the city with a nice balcony overlooking the shopping area. Staff was excellent room was wonderful. Nice breakfast buffet. A/c was very good. Parking was 10 euros for reserved parking about 75 meters from the hotel. Very clean and well decorated.

this was our 2nd hotel in Europe and of course it was not like at home but that was the nice part - the street was so narrow the taxi pointed about 100 feet up the road to the hotel - clean comfortable and close to everything - the taxi has to take the long way in but the ride out is really short - lots of shops in the street - lunch in the square was so,so but dinner at Mr. Pickwicks was great
