Iberostar Selection Sábila - Adults Only

Second time staying at this hotel. Once again, we are very happy. Enjoying the food. The Bedrooms are kept very clean. Around the pool you have to book your sunbeds. Once again Carmella is in charge of this and she makes it also easy and you can see how hard she is working. Big shout out to her for all the help and explanation that she gives. Yes, I would return to this hotel and would recommend it.

There was enough space even in the basic room, and we had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Despite quite noisy surroundings, it was very quiet in our room when you closed the window. There is a well-equipped, albeit small, 24/7 gym we used daily (the foam rollers were appreciated!). Excellent breakfast choice, though better selection of fruit would be appreciated. The location is superb, you are near the beach and a promenade (good for running and walking). Water dispensers on every floor, awesome addition. Generally, it was a good stay. We didn't have a lot of luck with the weather, so we didn't even try the sunbed system and pool access, and I cannot vouch for those.

We had a room near the elevators and a water dispenser, so it was somewhat noisy, with people talking in the corridor, not enough soundproofing in the room. We haven't heard the neighbours at least, only corridor noise. The showers in the room are a bit outdated, and there's little privacy in the bathroom/toilet area, as all the doors are glass and don't go from top to bottom, so all the noises, smells etc. are in the room as well. The spa (water/sauna circuit) is very small, it felt a bit cramped even with only two couples there. Also, the pool is outdoors and a couple of minutes away from the spa, same with the jacuzzi, which is tepid for the outside. We were travelling outside of high season, but there were still quite a few people in the hotel, and we had to queue for breakfast daily, despite there being two timeslots (we tried both). It is nice that some usual requests (like requesting pillows, booking the spa, reserving sunbeds) are available to be done via the Iberostar app, but some of those requests were ignored and we still had to follow up with the staff.

Really poor at check in and spent 2 hours as insisted we hadn’t a booking despite us having email confirmation.

Great hotel, the cleanest hotel, great staff, amazing breakfast and the app was a great thing to use.

Only one thing I did not like. Check in took way to much time.. one hour for 5 rooms is to much.
