Guildford Manor Hotel & Spa

I wish someone was at the desk of the spa. There were multiple occasions where a couple were having *** in the jacuzzi and not even trying to hide it. It made us extremely uncomfortable. There was no staff to report too either. Afternoon tea was fine good selection of tea. Therapist seemed lovely, The grounds are beautiful but could do with more staff.

Room 31 Monday 22nd June I was booked this via my company and this was a real mixed bag for this hotel which for the standard it is, shouldn’t be.. Good bits Lovely meal in the restaurant - great for non dairy too and a delicious dessert The room had A/C, so welcome in the extreme heat. Not so good: Booked a spa treatment to have at 5pm when i checked in The beautician went home beforehand and never knew about it - terrible management and communication between staff - management issue and not acceptable in a 4 star hotel Breakfast When I checked in, I wsked if it was ok to take away a bag for breakfast as I was leaving early My booking came with breakfast The solution was not to check I had dietary requirements, not to ask what I would have liked in my take away bag Genuinely so stunned at the lack of effort A sandwich, a piece of fruit, a yoghurt and a bottle of water As I can’t have raw dairy - not helpful What would have made the difference was a couple of pastries, a banana, a bake bar and a take away cup of tea The world of difference frankly The customer experience wa so poor I have already told my workplace not to book this for anyone again. Not good enough for 4 star.

I was very disappointed whilst there that there was an incredibly loud firework display and this is very close (as i'm sure they know) to a dog rescue kennel. I would never stay there again with such a place being run by people with such a selfish attitude. Apart from the stress to these dogs and local wildlife, everything is tinder dry and this could easily have resulted in a fire. Unbelievable.

The gardens were pleasant. The bar staff were helpful.

We specifically booked a hotel with air-conditioning. The air-conditioning was not working. When we arrived the window blinds were drawn. Once we realized the air-conditioning was ineffective, we raised them, so as to open a window. On doing this it was clear the windows were never cleaned. They were filthy. The shower was unusable, as the drain was completely blocked and using the shower immediately overflowed into the bathroom and out into the carpeted floor of the bedroom. This would have been obvious to anyone turning the shower on. Clearly this was not something housekeeping do. When we complained we were told that no-one from the hotel mgt was available. We were informed we could wait 4 or more hours until someone showed up, around lunch time. We left our contact details for someone to call us, no-one did.

Kwam pas om 0:00 aan en dat was geen enkel probleem. Prima kamer met airco. Zijn om 6:00 oor het ontbijt al weer vertrokken
