Hotel Rural Monnaber Nou & SPA

Hotel Monnaber is a beautiful old converted farmhouse set in its own grounds. Beware though, there is a far less attractive and much more basic annexe building with around 20 rooms that is based a quarter of the mile from the main hotel and you could end up staying there! We ended up there on a recent 10-day holiday and were lucky to be able to move after the first four days to a family room on the main site. The annexe has its own (small) pool but feels very remote from the main building and all the guests seemed depressed! I would recommend Monnaber but double check which building you are staying in

This hotel is beautifully situated in the mountains in a wonderfully peaceful location. The Michelin restaurant served food to die for at a very reasonable price compared to other more ordinary restaurants in Pollensa, nearby. However, we were not staying in the old manor house, rather in a converted stable block, a drive away on the huge estate. The breakfasts were a bit disappointing because the hot food selection was tepid and limited to three dishes. Also, the rooms are in local grand style. So if you go in the mindset of 'exclusive B&B with beautiful restaurant, leisure and Spa', you'll be happy. If you go thinking 'clinical, 5* minimalist style Spa hotel', you may be disappointed.

This hotel is a gem set in the Majorcan countryside. It is a restored country house and has plenty of character. It is the perfect place for total relaxtion - there are two pools, one indoors, one outdoors, a fitness centre (great in that 90 degree heat!!) and an extensive estate to wander around. We'd been a little concerned that the hotel had had some comments about staff being unfriendly; totally unfair. They were all charming! Breakfast is buffet style with a wide selection to choose from. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is worth trying. The hotel is set about two miles outside Campenet - and whilst this means that you are in the middle of nowhere, with no traffic noises and only the sounds of birds, goats and sheep it also means that you do need a car. Palma airport to the hotel takes no more than 45 mins. Provided you have a car you will be able to cover the whole of the island easily. The hotel also offers bikes for hire. Horse riding is also available. All in all, this would be a perfect place and surroundings to relax and chill out - ideal for those who do not want a resort, clubs, lots of children etc etc.

Lovely secluded location, but within 15 minutes drive of Alcudia/Pollenca. Very relaxing. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but the resteraunt meals were somewhat overpriced and the menu was unusual and not to our taste.

Loved the vista and the hotel itself. They did a fantastic job of making the hustle and bustle of the resort towns disappear. This is a wonderful hotel to stay in and find a quiet place to relax. We did not use the spa services but the pool was fantastic. I am a big guy and find all the European ways of making my stay "green" a little annoying but here as well as most places the bed was hard and short for a 6'4" guy. But unless you are prepared to spend 1500$ a night this is as good as it gets.

Very picturesque rural hotel in Northern Majorca. Room very comfortable. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice outdoor pool and sunbathing area. Indoor pool slightly small and suana rooms had to be pre-booked. Good base for exploring Majorca. Would recommend Alcudia - very quaint town with plenty of good restaurants.

We absolutely loved this hotel and it's location. It was so rural and so pretty. We sat in the sun during October half term with olive trees and flowers all around us. We were sung to by multiple birds and the sheep bells tinkled away in the back ground. The staff were friendly and the food and pool were fine. Definitely will return

A Birthday weekend for my wife who was pregnant and just needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Palma and everyday life, "Monnabar Nou Hotel" was a perfect choice in a spectular rural location only 10 minutes drive from the main Highway. We just swam and relax at the Spa, walk through the country side and dine by the Hotel's Fine Restrurant. A very calm, peaceful and relaxing weekend.

Excellent hotel with English and German speaking staff. Excellent swimming pool and a magnificent view from the dining room.

The Hotel was lovely and in very peaceful surroundings so a good place to chill. The pool bar staff were very attentive & excellent, shame they were not running the hotel bar also. As this bar was unmanned & although drinks were always served you had to ask at reception in the evening which made service slow. The beautiful outside terrace would have benifited more from having staff to wait on serving drinks here in the evening. The restaurant was good with lovely views. All staff were polite & friendly, overall a very nice hotel to stay in.
