Hotel Rural Monnaber Nou & SPA

We stayed in the satellite block with its own small pool and grill area. Having booked the cheapest deal through Expedia, we expected to be in the cheapest room, but we felt that our first floor room with a small balcony overlooking the pool (rather than a ground floor room overlooking the field (and entrance pathway) was rather a good deal. Although it wasn't clear that you needed to book for the grill dinner in advance, we were accommodated without fuss and had a fantastic meal, even if the main choices were limited to a few types of meat. It was no hassle to head up to the main hotel for the larger pool or the indoor spa facilities, but to be honest, our 2-year-old was perfectly happy in the small pool. The best feature of our stay, however, was outstanding hospitality from the team looking after us. There was a rotation system with 2 of them based in our block each day from at least 6am to midnight every day and they remained without fail charming, helpful and tolerant, even with what we thought were less gracious guests. They were superb with our girl and made use feel extremely comfortable and welcome, also helping with free warm milk for bedtime without any fuss. I wouldn't recommend coming with anyone younger than 2 (i.e. weaned) because there are no facilities to heat milk in the night, but this was a perfect quiet rural retreat based close enough to everything we wanted to see and do (mountains, beach, charming villages and good food). We enoyed our stay and all the staff we helpful and knowledgable about the area. We recommend hiring a car to allow you to explore the island.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights and it was perfect for a short break. We did not need a car for three nights. Staying longer would probably have the benefit of hiring a car as it's fairly remote. There are bicycles for hire at the hotel and horse riding, along with spa facilities. The pool area has great seating arrangements. The food at the hotel was excellent. The only slight quip is that you have to purchase bottles of water. The bottles are small so at €2.40 per bottle we spent a lot on water. There is water provided at breakfast only.

Just back from a few days at the Monnaber Nou and loved every bit of it, particularly the restaurant which had fabulous views to match excellent food and wine

Nice relaxing break, lovely swimming pools and attentive service at the pool bar but I was disappointed with the general decor, too traditional for my taste.

We had a super stay here in May 2014. The restaurant was excellent and staff very helpful. Room spacious and well appointed. Spa and swimming pools were an added bonus.Super walking in the grounds and around. We thoroughly enjoyed a very restful stay here and hope to visit again.

Stayed in a deluxe room for a week, amazing view and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and keen to help. The menu is full of rich food but dont be afraid to ask for a salad as they are very accommodating. We went early in the season and although the weather was stunning the outdoor pool was a little cool as it's not heated. Perfect temp though if you've been in the sauna and need to cool off! Definitely recommend for a super relaxing break as it's quiet and away from main tourist traps (although nowhere is too far to bike or drive to if you want to explore the island)

Great really like the hotel and it's rural location.... very quite as we had hoped for.
