The Resort at Pelican Hill

I went to the spa to see if I could get the hot oil scalp massage ($72), but was told that that treatment was an "Enhancement" to other services. He then said I was welcome to use the sauna or steam. I would think that if a guest comes in and asks for something so simple as a scalp massage, they would be welcome.

Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, George hearty was the front desk person he was very welcoming and made sure we knew all the local spots, make sure you go to beach comer for brunch on the beach. Pelican hill golf course was also ridiculous, felt like I was on the pga tour, no one in front or behind of you. 10/10 stay we’ll definitely be back.

Such an amazing first stay. We used to live in OC and never had the chance to stay here before. Came for my birthday weekend and greeted with a most unexpected gift. Staff called first morning to see how our night was, and everyone at the resort was just amazing. We had such a peaceful, restful, amazing stay and I cannot emphasize enough how much I needed that. Location and accommodation was beautiful and perfectly maintained, and central to all the things we wanted to do. We’ve stayed at the WA and the Ritz, but I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. THANK YOU for a memorable, comforting stay.

Nice and quiet

What an amazing stay. We got upgraded to the ocean view bungalow. To get to the bungalow, you can drive thru the guarded gate and can park right in front of the bungalow. It’s like our own house we are driving to. We enjoyed the spa as a resort guest. Everything was perfection. No charge to enjoy the spa, lounge, pool, sauna. The spa workers are so accommodating. I had my Prosecco refreshed a few times. Now to our bungalow, the room is huge. Bathroom and the amenities were more than enough to use. Our terrace had an amazing view. We caught the sunset and I was in awe. We had the fireplace on the whole time as it was chilly and made the room even more amazing. Service at the front desk, the spa and everywhere on the resort are wonderful, attentive. I had an exchange with the front desk via the Marriott Bonvoy chat on the app and Cassidy at the front desk was so fast to reply and making the stay right. We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to splurge to stay here again.

Weeks of catastrophic fires in our beloved city of Los Angeles left my wife and me feeling depleted and in need of rejuvenation. We decided to head to Newport Beach for a stay at Pelican Hill, which proved to be exactly the cure we needed. Everything about this resort is top-notch, from the superb staff to the beautiful grounds, the spectacular views, the excellent food, the spacious, well-appointed rooms, and the overall atmosphere of peace and relaxation. Everyone on the staff whom we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely solicitous of our needs. I didn't get all of their names, but I'd like to offer my sincere thanks to Tara and Madison at reception, Carson the shuttle driver, and everyone at the the Concierge desk and at the wonderful spa. Of the many resorts we've visited and enjoyed, only a few have stood out as exceptional, as places to which we intend to enthusiastically return. The Resort at Pelican Hill is one of these incredibly special places.
