Edward Hotel

This is the first hotel I have stayed in for years that has pillows with substance instead of sad, flat experiences. The room was scrupulously clean. Not even dust under the mattress. The bed itself was firm and comfortable. The shower was okay. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room. The hotel does have a 1990s feel and it’s an odd labyrinth of combined buildings. However I like a place with some character. It didn’t especially bother me that the hotel was not pretending to be ‘boutique’ or aspiring to be beige.

There is not great sound isolation between rooms. The rooms are not air conditioned, so you’re subject to the heat of summer.

Más o menos cercano al centro, a unos 20 minutos caminando. Pequeño y con buen desayuno, aparte del precio de la habitación.

Baño muy pequeño y hemos cogido una ola de calor terrible y no había aíre acondicionado. Todo un poco viejo.

Instalações muito bem cuidadas e limpas, com um belo jardim. Quarto com microondas e frigobar. Estacionamento espaçoso. Funcionários e proprietário atenciosos e cordiais. Serviço de lavanderia excelente. Ótimo café da manhã tradicional inglês.

The hotel is on walking distant of the city centre. Very helpful management with good ideas for sightseeing places and restaurants. Clean place!

Der Herr an der Rezeption gab tolle Tips für einen schönen Tag in Gloucester und erzählte interessante historische Fakten. Dazu gibt es Dekoration über Gloucester im Haus. Eine sehr urige, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Dusche (mit Stufen) war sehr groß.

The staff at Edward hotel are very friendly and welcoming. I had no issue approaching them with any issues or questions. They were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV worked great and the microwave is a nice addition. The windows opened and closed with no issues. The toilet and sink also worked how they should. The room was an adequate size, the light and plug location was great.

The shower did have a couple of issues. The shower head leaked which caused a small puddle of water on the bathroom floor. The shower head holder was installed too high on the wall, so the shower head didn't properly fit. I was on the bottom floor which meant a guest was in the room above. I could hear every step, every phone conversation and even every whistle.
