The Castle at Skylands Manor

i like the place, very good experience. highly recommend. it.

The Castle is very beautiful, but there is no Wi-Fi in the Bedroom as well as in the common areas. The heater is very weak and the hot water in the shower is zero. There is no pressure from the shower, only drops.

This is a unique property it's beautifully sited the rooms are very nice in the public spaces are all gorgeous. The problem is that the property is not well maintained it looks a little drab and run down. they could do a much better job of improving the overall atmosphere or quality of the facility by maintaining it. A case in point is the heating system I would not recommend staying here in the winter all room which was a upgraded room was 56 degrees when we checked in at 4:30 in the afternoon. We got moved to another room but it was just a little bit warmer at about 60 62 degrees and somebody had purposely turned the thermostats down to the minimum setting. so they're looking to save money that's not how you do it in the winter and keep people coming back over and

It was a beautiful property with an interesting story. The view was amazing.

Nice place but the radiators did not work and it was FREEZING in the suite. We had to huddle together at night just to stay warm. Not worth the money in the winter, but I'm sure it's lovely in the spring.

Very beautiful castle, arquitecture is exquisite. But the rooms are its downfall, no curtins on windows (to maintain the aesthetic of the building i was told), had to upgrade to a room with private bathroom because the room was small and the shared bathroom was dirty. Room with private bathroom also very dirty, the heat of the room was off. They said they turned it on once we got it, but the heat never rose in the room. My pregnant wife had to sleep with a sweater on. Reserved it for two nights, had to leave the next morning and find another place to stay.

It’s a castle enough said! Ha what a beautiful place. We explored every single room we could enter. So much fun. Definitely coming again. Rich the innkeeper is friendly the girls at the front desk friendly the water in the room was hot the coffee was good breakfast was filling. Love it!

I got married at this location 11 years ago and wanted to return to the place to celebrate our anniversary. I do know if perhaps we received special treatment on our wedding day as the bride and groom but I don’t recall having so many issues with the property. They are not equipped to run a bed and breakfast. For starters I was not given any information about the location during check in. No info about where to eat or what to do or how to get in and out of the castle. I had to ask how we would enter the property late at night, luckily I did because they lock the doors and you need to text the innkeeper to enter the manor. The grounds are literally pitch dark and we needed to park in a lot aprox 1 city block away. We had to use our flashlights on our phone to make it back, it was extremely difficult. The sink in our room was clogged and you could visibly see the lumps of hair stuck in the drain. Because the castle is old it takes over 15 mins to get luke warm water in your room. Amenities are EXTREMELY limited, the most you can get is very very watered down coffee or tea. Room service is also very limited. When We asked for a bottle of water they didn’t have any. I think the only thing you can get is watered coffee. Would not recommend staying there!

Rich the manor keeper made such a wonderful host. We was able to tour the castle rooms and get photos that will last a lifetime. Breakfast which is included was superb.our room had a beautiful view of the gardens and the price was affordable. I can’t wait to go back.

Yes, feels like some castle, however offers less than a cheap motel. And the rate for a room is HUGELY overpriced, especially considering it situated is on state owned land, the parking is far and the wifi does not reach the rooms. NOT worth the money!
