Hyatt Place Jackson Ridgeland

There was only one staff member at the desk upon arrival… who was also having to run the bar AND even had to leave the desk to help clean rooms to get people into them faster. The length of time people were having to wait to receive booked accommodations was unreal. The man at the front desk stated he had been at the hotel working since 3pm the prior day when I arrived at 4pm. He graciously changed my room when I discovered all the stains and my experience was better from there. The hotel is understaffed and it’s amazing the staff that is there still manages a smile let alone positivity despite their working conditions. They’re saints.

The swimming pool was dirty and not worth getting into. Disappointing for our grandkids.

The room was fine and nice, but the hallways smelled so bad! It smelled like mildewed carpet, like it had flooded and mildewed. It's a shame because the room was fine and the people were nice, but the condition of the carpet and smell was terrible. Also with there were adapters for charging cell phones, etc because I was there on business. Won't be staying at the Hyatt in the future in Ridgeland.

Did my booking through Expedia , I book 1 room with a king size bed for 2 adults. They gave me a room with 2 queen sizes beds. The room did not look clean at all. We only stay 1 night , because we were just passing through. The place needs new management!!!

Being next to interstate, road noise was disturbing.

We have stayed here several times for medical reasons. Staff, service and facilities have always been excellent. This time was a total failure. A/C in room could not be regulated. No sleep trying to stay cool. Toilet paper holder was on the floor. Garbage bags in garbage were wadded on the bottom. No cups. Nothing for the coffee pots. All these were needed when you have to be at an 8am doctor appointment.
