Martinique Whitsunday Resort

Large apartment and great balconies with marvellous views. Sun hits the balcony a lot of the day so maybe a bit hot in mid summer - but lovely in June. The bedroom is large and the bed is very comfortable. The lounge furniture is quite comfortable and the TV is a large flat screen. Wifi is very good. There is an A/C in both the living and bedroom. the pool area is also without shade but again lovely mid year. The spa was lovely and warm, and the pool looked lovely but the water was a bit too cool for me. You are close to the main street and the port for trips to the Whitsunday islands and reef. Cleanliness looks good on arrival, but needs more effort in the corners. We would stay again.

Just know there are a lot of stairs to the apartments - we were in apartment no. 8 so minimum of 6 flights from street to the apartment. The lift to the pool area is in addition to your flights of stairs. The road up to Martinique is verrrry steep - their suggestion of taxi or Uber is definitely needed if not very fit. The apartment has poorly maintained oven, dishwasher, and they had to come and stop our sink leaking - maintenance person on the weekend very friendly and prompt. Water pressure quite low but we managed. A few condiments would be helpful. A baking tray for the oven, and jugs for water in fridge would be good too. None of these are deal breakers - just know before you arrive.

Amazing views. Well designed layout of apartment. The pool and spa! Once I realised I could get a taxi or uber up the hill I didn’t mind walking down it into town 😂 Easy walk to any where in town.

No chopping board, but I forgot to ask, they probably would have supplied 🙂

Everything was very good. Would have liked a firmer bed.

Huge apartment, with terrific views. Staff were happy to provide a cot when needed and were very pleasant. The separate dining area, lounge area and balcony area was more than I expected. Parking for a large 4 wd was tight, but achievable for an older lady. The 2 flights of stairs to the room was easily done for average fitness, as was the walk to the shops. The pool was refreshing and clean.
