Dales Country House Hotel

Made to feel very welcome. Staff seem keen to help and accommodate with all aspects of stay. When I left an item the staff were so helpful and understanding with getting the item back to me. Brilliant!

That we didn't book a longer stay.

Country house hotel in the heart of North Norfolk. We were able to take our labrador with us and the staff were fantastic . They ensured our stay was relaxed and enjoyable whilst still being conscious of other guests needs. We have stayed several times over the years and now with the dog, would not hesitate to stay in the future.

Had a great stay-super staff who could not have been more friendly, professional and accommodative.

Only thing better would have been able to stay longer

We sometimes take a walk in Sheringham Park and have on quite a few occasions stopped afterwards for something to eat in The Dales. We recently had a meal which was excellent both in quality and value so today we thought we would return. I checked the menu online before we left home and we decided to have the same again. Unfortunately we discovered it had now changed ( not a huge deal but I do wish restaurants would update their websites when their menus change, we overheard other people equally flummoxed as what they had planned to eat was not available). In the end as we could not have what we hoped we decided to just have a bowl of soup. Now, maybe it’s just us but we were most surprised not to get any bread of any sort with it. It must be said the soup was very good so no complaints on that score but £8.50 for a bowl of soup without so much as a crouton felt a bit over the top and may make us think twice next time.

Friendly helpful staff, excellent food and beautiful grounds and surrounding walks. Comfortable and well furnished rooms preserving the character of the building. Excellent shower pressure, even on the top floor

Stayed five nights bed and breakfast with my dad over the bank holiday weekend. Not cheap but excellent quality and service . The breakfast was excellent and very hearty . Evening meal was ok put very expensive . The Sunday lunch was one if the tastiest I have had . Excellent quality room beef and all the trimmings tasted great . What set this hotel apart is the intensive staff . All of them could not enough for you . I felt guilty ordering everything on the garden . The excellent weather over the weekend helped to make the stay . You pay for quality and you get it here

Location is good

Unbelievably dated interiors, what a shame to let a historic house run down like this. Towels had stains

Absolutely gem of a place & so dog friendly. The location is absolutely beautiful.

Patio doors were a tad stiff & bedroom door next to ours were loud when closed, unless our neighbours were just noisy.
