Very nice hotel and staff were very friendly

I think they need more staff at breakfast, one girl was checking in diners, taking orders, clearing breakfast places, and considering she was on her own doing a fantastic job!

This is terrific place to stay! The staff are unfailingly delightful and do everything they can to make your stay a good one. On arrival the receptionist was efficient and helpful. She asked us about our day each time we returned. The young man who served breakfast was so pleasant. In the evening the Bar staff opened up a small dining room so we could play Scrabble! The breakfast was of excellent quality with many locally sourced foods. Good coffee too. There was ample parking. The approach to the hotel offered views of fields - great for guests with dogs. our room was huge, very clean and provided all we needed. Sunny terraces to sit outside. We very much liked that we could get to National Trust houses and the Coast after relatively short drives.

The room decor is traditional rather than 'modern' but this did not worry us.
