TownePlace Suites by Marriott Erie

It’s a good location reasona ly close to Presque Isle State Park where I participated Erie Marathon.

I requested a late checkout at the hotel about a month before I went there as I wanted to take a quick shower after the race and before heading to Cleveland airport to catch a flight in the afternoon. Although I received positive feedback at the time of booking, the hotel staff rejected my request upon arrival. I only wanted an extra 10-15 minutes beyond a standard checkout time. The lady at the front desk didn’t even try to look at the computer and shut me down. I was utterly disappointed. My wife was with me and she was understandably upset. I understand it’s not always possible to accommodate such a request from customers, but I expected a little more courteous attitude from the hotel staff.

Tub was not clean at all. Stains all over Mattress was the worse… not comfortable enough

The front desk staff didn’t admit mistake and was rigid when giving us a room that was not we had requested for and refused to change. When we asked her to escalate and to ask her manager to help resolve this, she claimed she was the manager and refused to do anything including contacting her manager. She was not considerate and not accommodating when we had arrived in the hotel a couple of hours earlier kindly asking if we could get a favor to get an earlier checking in, and declined straight by only repeating 4pm or after without even showing any wiliness to help (other hotels including other Marriott’s would have tried to check on computer and would try all effort to happily accommodate in such a 2-hour early timeline.) Other than the experience with this staff, other hotel staff were very kind and helpful and considerate and their service were good. Some hotel facilities should be maintained better, e.g. the room temperature control should be adjustable so temperature can be adjusted to higher in cold days or the cold blown air and the noise from the air condition machine can be stopped (or the cold air flow from it can be directed away from the bed in cold days). We have been a Marriott hotels loyal customers and wish this hotel can hire capable staff on front desk to meet and help customers. Thanks!

Running the Erie marathon. Place was clean, staff friendly and hotel near shopping mall had plenty of dining options. Would book again.

We lost over $200 in groceries because our refrigerator did not close properly.

Service was good. Nice breakfast and lobby/outdoor area. Rooms were comfortable but could use some extra cleaning.

We had the 2bdr suite and it was nice. Site is clean, staff was amazing and it's not far from the beach, Waldemar, and splash Lagoon. The mall is next door, a bowling alley that stays open until 2am and food is a 3-5 min drive. Great location.

It was very clean

When I want to check in, they said they were having technical difficulties for me to wait in the lobby, which took forever. I wasn’t the only one.

Breakfast stayed well stocked and there was plenty to go around. My family of six had a great time the room was comfortable it fit us while it was very clean. Honestly no complaints!

Staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. Very close to a big mall with lots of food and restaurants.
