Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham by IHG

Ground floor room next to smoking area - very noisy. Air conditioning in room didn’t seem to work. Water pressure in shower was awful - barely a trickle!

Breakfast was very limited. The hotel was extremely busy on a Saturday morning and most of the hot items had ran out. Parking in the nearby NCP is very expensive. Otherwise, I was very happy with the stay from check-in to checkout.

Great location for the bars restaurants and high street

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary birthday drink, which was very kind. Hot and continental breakfast. Excellent location, opposite restaurants, bars and cinema.

Perfect location and clean hotel

Very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good, but that’s about all I can praise. Everything else is unacceptable. My only advice is run if you have an alternative to this! All room doors slam shut with ridiculous force, enough to wake up the whole floor. The rooms have no soundproofing at all: you can hear absolutely everything from the corridor, and the windows aren’t soundproof either, so getting any rest with street noise is nearly impossible. The bathroom is poorly designed and not functional. It lacks proper ventilation. Steam builds up completely after a shower, and using the toilet without a decent extractor fan makes the experience even worse... But the worst part: the sofa bed didn’t have any kind of mattress protector or cover. Absolutely disgusting, not fit to sleep on. I’m giving one star only because of the staff and the decent breakfast. Other than that, it really falls short.

Shame in information about ni parking onsite. Otherwise a great venue.

A brilliant stay, bery convenient for the local restaurants. Highly recommended.
