The Richmond Hotel

Stayed overnight for a music performance. The bed was comfortable and the views good.

There was nothing not to like about this property excellent

for the price you get a sizable clean room with crisp linen on the beds, breakfast is really good with vegetarian options, staff are very friendly and the place is a five minute walk from the beach. It is a large old house,with an atmosphere of faded grandeur, definitely excellent value for money.

Excellent location - super easy to get to the waterfront, friendly front desk staff. The building has seen better days and the room was very worn. The bed was uncomfortable at best - the pillows were so thin you had to roll up to get any use out of them. It says free parking on the listing - but there are very few actual available spaces and we ended up having to pay about £8 in a nearby lot.

This is a hotel for one time to stay. Room conditions are very poor. Expedia should not market this for free wifi and free parking. WiFi was only available in lounge not in the room and even that didn’t work. Regarding the parking, they only have 4 or 5 space which are always full, not sure staff also park there.

In need of restoration. Understand that current team are also keen for the property to be saved.

Nice hotel, could do with updating but overall a good stay

It is what it is the hotel is tired needs a re fit but it is clean the staff are amazing nothing to much trouble it's in a great position and the sea view and balcony is great in the rooms this is the 2nd time we have been there we love it down to earth and you can be yourself no hassle.

I have stayed at the Richmond a couple of times and always found everything great. You get a cheery welcome on arrival and the rooms are comfortable with an excellent breakfast. it is about 10 mins walk to town with a short cut through the back of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
