Hilton Garden Inn Clarksville

To give context to this review, my job requires that I travel globally, so I have considerable experience with hotels. However, I'm not frivolous with my money, so I try to stay in Hilton properties for the price, consistent quality, and points. It had been a long day of traveling—over 10 hours of driving. We arrived after 10 pm and just as we exited our car, we were "greeted" by an older white man who pressured us to give him money. I told him I had no cash, but he stood by eerily while we unloaded our bags. On entering the hotel, the very cordial young man at the desk told us there was an on-site extra charge of $78 ($50 of it a refundable deposit), despite my HHonors membership. When we entered the room, we were taken aback by the state of things. The tub was filthy (so bad that my wife laid a towel on the bottom of the tub to take a shower in the morning); the shower gel attachment was broken, making us wonder about its hygiene; the floors under the bed were disgusting, clearly not vacuumed for a long time; and the headboards' cleanliness was visibly questionable. The furniture and state of the room was clearly very aged. We were so tired from our long day that we simply slept and left, but the state of the property left us just as tired as our travels. That's unfortunate, as it is a stain on an otherwise reliable name, in my experience. We will avoid staying in Hilton Garden Inns from this point on.

Hotel was nice found crickets in my room as I was leaving one elevator was working for my whole stay and AC was out in lobby. Was told that hotel is getting renovated so Hopefully that will change all those things I do think I may return in the future.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I booked this hotel because they advertise a hot tub. It was out of order. So we tried the pool, which might as well have been a cold plunge. So we tried to go back to our room, we were promptly trapped in the elevator. The alarm button did nothing. Thankfully another patron heard us & alerted the front desk. At this point we decided to just call it a night. When my husband pulled back the blankets, there was a bed bug. Soooo back downstairs I went. He ‘upgraded’ our room for all the problems & assured us he would talk to management to refund the cost of our room, but really just put us in an ADA room, which was like 80°, so then it took hours to cool off enough to sleep. We haven’t received a refund or a call from the hotel, and they won’t respond to our inquiries. I’m going to have to dispute the charge. Terrible experience. The Hilton name used to mean something.

There is no free breakfast even though the website says there is. They want you to pay $9.99for continental (cereal and oatmeal) The room is outdated and moldy on the bottom of the shower. The shower doors are difficult to open and the toilet was not flushing properly. It ran all night. The AC was freezing which I appreciate but it was not adjusting to the temperature you tried to set. I would rather just spend a bit more and stay across the street at a newer property. The staff was friendly but you get what you pay for and it wasn’t much.

Clean sheets ,pillow cases. With decent pillows . Body wash and lotion was nice and refreshing and a nice hot shower .

Elevator broke, urinal broke, floors dirty, drinks too expensive for what you were served
