Crown Hotel Brackley

Very convergent to where we were going. Literally out the front door.

The visual also off out room was not great. It looked like a converted stable which itt may have been once. It was clean and comfortable though which was just what we were looking for

The staff really tried hard to to make our stay a pleasant one, they were all very smart polite and helpful. The bar and reception area are very nice oak panelled rooms and the drinks served in the bar were perfect and good value. The coffee at breakfast was first class.

Despite the staff efforts this hotel is let down by detail. The court yard at the rear was lovely to take a drink but had a faint smell of sewage. I was traveling with my wife and my friend was solo, they managed to give us a tiny room and my friend a huge one, we did get a room change with little fuss. The room wasn't the cleanest with dust and stains in the bathroom and three flights of stairs to climb. Although we were asked if we wanted a full English breakfast the night before in the morning it was just served having taken no choices, my wife is allergic to mushrooms so she wasn't pleased to get one without consultation, the bacon looked like it had spent no more than 30 seconds in a microwave, totally inedible. We expected better for £15 each!!

De mooie sfeervolle Engelse aankleding van het prachtige oude hotel!! Het zet aardige personeel.

De vloerbedekking op de slaapkamer had wat donkere plekken en de hele vloerbedekking voelde vies ( wat plakkerig en een soort van zanderig) aan met blote voeten. Heb nog geprobeerd en vlek met een naar doekje schoon te wrijven, maar dat buik kwam er moeilijk uit los
