You have to visit the hotel and stay at the hotel and eat at buffet and after that write a review of your stay. From Mexico you can't manage the hotel in Dominican Republic! Nice friendly, hard working and accommodating staff. Rooms semi clean, tired , but for the price we must pay is not OK. Food was mediocre, not much choice, wine absolutely undrinkable, rum the cheapest and served in plastic glasses, even at the bar, if you wanted a decent rum you needed to pay extra,(probably still in plastic glasses). The coffee machine was broken, not a taste coffee and the milk is not milk. This resort has not been updated it says in 2006 yrs and it shows. My recommendation is save your money. A LA CARTES: We visited them all. Nothing was unique or different. They were just a sit-down version of the buffet. THE WINE: probably the most disappointing aspect of our week (where do I begin). The house red is extremely fruity and without that grippy full body tannins taste. If I had to make a wager, I’d say they were mixing regular red table wine 50/50 with welches grape juice. It lacked the alcohol content and the richness that makes a good sipping wine. The white? It was just watered down. Take any glass of white wine, mix it 50/50 with water and that’s what it tasted liked. The first sip of white immediately gives you the impression you’re getting more, then it doesn’t. On Christmas day they were uncorking actual bottles in the main buffet and it was enchanting – it was like a treat! The rest of the week you got the unknown wine carafe (filled behind the scenes) and nobody could tell you what it was or where it came from. I had hoped the a la cartes would offer different wines to experience, nope. The same welches red and watered white from lunch. Alternatively, you could buy a real bottle of actual wine, and they started at $20 USD. THE BEER: The in-room fridge had two Presidente beers (in bottles) and two cokes upon arrival. They were never replaced. We also had to wait a few times for bottled water. Inconsistent is how I would describe this. Eventually we got bottled water. Presidente was also was the only beer you could get on the whole resort. BUT if you walked across the street to the golf course, they had most major brand name beers, seltzers and even common non-alcoholic & low carb beers choices to pick from in the pro-shop fridge. None of these existed on the resort. NOT A 4 STARS HOLEL STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL DO NOT BOOK IT!!!!! I have traveled for close to 25 years to different countries. This resort is not a 4 or 41/2 as stated. I read reviews and decided to give it a try. I don't expect things to be perfect and I'm not a fancy person when traveling, your not at home, but there have been so many issues with this resort. The people are very friendly as always in the Dominican, they were great at the resort. These are the issues we had. Air conditioner stopped working 3 times, door lock broke, wifi doesn't work, it's off more then its on, drinks very watered down or just not good at all ( see pics suppose to be a frozen kolua and milk ), food is average or below, lack of pool lounges and many they do have are ripped, torn or broken ( see pics ) I counted 2 umbrellas only around the pool so not a lot of shade, lack of lounges on the beach and all the lounges are all packed in a square area. This resort has not been updated it says in 2006 yrs and it shows. My recommendation is save your money. If you don't care about food etc and just come for the sun then it's a place to go. If you enjoy a good variety of food, drinks, comfortable rooms, good drinks etc then go elsewhere.

Had a great time at Bluebay villas dorados. Food is very good and clean resort. Entertainment staff is amazing - Edwin, Lizabeth, and Nelly were so much fun!! I recommend this resort.

Fantastic location, amazing staff and service! Would absolutely return

My husband, adult son and I just returned from this resort on Mar 16/26. Overall, we had a very nice week. The good Food and food variety were very good at the buffet. Selections were hot, tasty, and abundant. Although we stayed away from the fresh salad options, the items looked very fresh and clean. The fruit was also fresh, ripe and delicious. We booked both the Italian and Steak House specialty restaurants and both were outstanding with good quality and nice size portions. The Animation team was fantastic. All of them were high energy, friendly, and engaging. The nightly shows were good too, some were hilarious. The staff, in general, was wonderful. The 3 pools were very nicely maintained, and the poolside bars were well-stocked. Need improvement This is an older resort, and it shows in many places. The villas definitely need an upgrade or major overhaul. They are very dated, furniture and doors, shelves are sticky from being painted over and over instead of sanded and properly painted or replaced. Tile grout on floor is cracked or stained and just looks very unattractive. Several guests mentioned plumbing issues, room keys and / or door locks not working. Our bathroom floor wasn't cleaned, swept or washed all week, or maybe even prior to our arrival because there was a crumb or something on the floor behind the door when we got there and it was still there when we left. The bathroom mirror also wasn't cleaned regularly. Unfortunately, for me, these were deal breakers for leaving a tip. I just felt grossed out seeing the same grime and dirt every day. WIFI is hit and miss. In this day and age, reliable and fast WIFI is a non-negotiable at any resort. It was almost nonexistent in the villas further away, and sometimes even in the lobby or pool area. It took me a couple hours to finally complete airline check-in before our flight. I tried in the room and out by the lobby. Very frustrating. It would not be an expensive fix to install extenders by each block of villas. Another problem, which is quite major, is that 95% of the pool longers are in need of repair or replacement. Although the chair frames were good, the fabric itself was ripped and falling apart. When you sit on one of these chairs, you literally get hit on the head because the rip causes the back rest to whip forward. As the week wore on, there were fewer and fewer chairs available, mostly because the broken ones had to be removed as they just didn't work. We spoke to several return guests who mentioned they would not be coming back to this resport. It's a shame because it has great potential but really needs updates. At best, this resort is more a 3 to 3 1/2 star in its current state.

Rooms were dated and took a while to be cleaned, but other than that we had a great time! Food was good, pool was great, and staff were amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Low chair selection by the pool and towels we sometimes hard to get but small minor things that don’t really change our experience.

Great hotel, good experience, animation is good and good food

The whole trip was amazing. We watched number of nite shows. Miss BB 2026/2027, drinking lessons, dominion dancing, pool exercises, and pool games was outstanding and very enjoyable. The food was outstanding and if you don’t like the food there is alway snacks at beach bar. The rooms were ok with a little more updates it would be perfect. Love the area. Excellent Vacation.
