Comfort Inn & Suites Lumberton Central I-95

We needed a quick room overnight for a road trip. The hotel looked run down. It wasn't dirty - but it wasn't clean either. Walls dirty, scuffed up, didn't look clean and new. In general, it didn't feel warm and welcoming. You can tell the whole building is run down. Staff was fine - not overly friendly, looked unprofessional, no one was at the front desk when we checked in - moved slowly. Elevator was dirty - hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. Hallways were dark. doors were open and left ajar. I didn't feel safe or clean. The comforter on the bed was stained. I didn't want to sleep under the covers at all. The room was really dingy. I will definitely not plan a return stay at this hotel and I'll certainly think twice before booking another comfort inn property.

Room smelled horrible; mildew. Shower curtain was wet. TV didn’t work. We complained to front desk. Nothing done. Then told front desk we wanted a refund and we could not stay in those conditions. She said ok. A day later, they charged us. I called and requested that be removed. She said ok. Then proceeded to charge me AGAIN! For two! I called and confirmed with my credit card company, but the desk clerk kept saying they took it off. They don’t know what they’re doing. I ended up disputing both charges with the credit card company. After reading other reviews, they ought to just close this one down. Any good reviews must be fake!

This property looks nothing like the photos posted! The pool was not filled with water but instead what looked like urine it was filthy; I have pictures! The front desk receptionist spoke so fast and had no knowledge of the computer system she looks visibly like a drug addict. They gave us our room keys after waiting nearly 20 minutes only to our surprise we walked into the room and someone else was already staying in that room. I was embarrassed and afraid for my children staying in that hotel would have been the worst decision they could have given a key to anyone to walk into our rooms! The facility was disgusting filthy from the outside and worse inside the smell of the halls was like drugs and it quite literally looked like a brothel. Please stay far away from here for safety!

Hotel is tired and in need of renovation. Pool was not functional and clearly had not been for some time.
